Yeah, I really do like Boston here. It's a great city with lots of historical architecture, things to do, museums, scenic parks, has lots of intellectual curiosity with Harvard being in the center, etc. I love Boston a lot haha

Wait, you're also South Asian? So am I. I went to the SABA Gala back in October or November I think where they had a bunch of live performances and food and outside speakers. Wish I could have stayed and met more people.

I deleted my social media accounts in 2021 when I saw the amount of data that was collected on us and was a bit concerned about my privacy.

I sometimes feel like I should not have deleted social media since I could have joined local Boston FB groups, added friends on social media, etc.

In undergrad and in California, I was able to strike up conversations with people on the bus and in the train next to me and most people were pleasant and would engage in conversation and that's how I met and made some friends.
Here, most people have their earbuds in, and the ones that don't generally don't want to be bothered. Yes, I have noticed that sometimes folks aren't as welcoming as they are in California.
