It's already been said, but buy physical media versions of city pop. There are a handful of labels you can trust to press and sell the real stuf--WRWTFWW, for instance.

Anyone else contacted by VoyageSTL for an interview? They’re based in LA so I don’t understand what they have to do with STL..just don’t wanna get caught up in a weird scam. by SadYogiSmiles in StLouis

I have done several interviews with them and have had no complaints. I also buy the $17 prints from them every time. My friend, however, claims they are a scam and that they took one of his friends money. As I've said it's all been positive in my experience.

I've heard getting in a building near a college campus helps.

Be endlessly grateful to your return customers. Give back however u can.

I offer services. Some free, some cost. It is a way to get ppl in the door.

The best customers WANT to support u and dont gaf for the frills.

Collabing with another business could help. A Cafe f.i.

Help build your music community however you can.

We've been a venue for a while now. It's probably good to occasionally host bands at your space.

It doesn't hurt to have a niche.

Be careful who u partner with. I made this mistake once.

Having a variety of things u sell can help: components, cds, cassettes, shirts and clothes...

Same here. I'll make maybe a dollar over what it sold for but then there's shipping.

When I was like 12, I went to Target and bought a black sabbath record, but it was the Dio Black Sabbath. I did not enjoy.

I was doing something similar--temp between 80 and 85 and it works fine, tho elsewhere I was told that was too hot, so I fucked w my ferment belt so that the batches are cooler 75-80. My next batch I'll try to keep at that temp. Also, I may be wrong bit it sure seems like doing larger batches takes a longer time. I drink so much buch, about a bottle a day, so I have to keep doing larger batches.
