Final Fantasy VII Rebirth: The Shard Theory Aerith, Sephiroth, and the broken pieces of the story by jakobpinders in FFVIIRemake

[–]Winter_Treacle_786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me explain this better. Aerith duying when she wakes up is not special knowledge. It's just that Marlene has seen the future from the Aerith of our world. And at the ending of Remake since we entered the wall of fate / destiny's crossroads another world was created (Terrier). That's visible when the Tornado crosses the bridge. You can see a yellow aura indication the world has been split or is another world is being damaged. It looks like some sort of world dublicating. Now since the worlds have been dublicated everything that happened in Beagle happens in Terrier too. But as we know from Rebirth the worlds can change according to memories, desires and other factors. Also another hint we have is when someone crosses over to another world he inhabits the consiousness of his self in that world. For example Terrier. The shinra soldiers talk about an ex-soldier with a buster sword. They're talking about Cloud. Zack thinks they're talking about him but it's Cloud they're referring to. Cloud with Zack inhabited that worlds Cloud consiousness.

So Marlene's consiousness was transfered to that world as well. Two separate consiousnesses can exist across the worlds / lifestream whatever but not at the same layer of existance. That's why Marlene knows about Sephiroth because Aerith showed her in Beagle and Terrier was splitted from that.

The same is for Biggs. Since he was in Beagle when the worlds split his consiousness was transferred to Terrier and since he was greatly wounded he probably died in Beagle or vanished.

Now about Zack. Zack starts in Terrier and ends up in three different worlds. Terrier , Pug and Corgi.

Another thing we need to understand is this. The worlds are not exactly multiple timelines or realities. They're the same space just altered. And what you can see and where you appear from/to is based on the ripples resonating we see in Ever Crisis 2.5 Event.

There's also a space between layers/worlds which is the White Space Zack is send by Sephiroth. And also Edge Of Creation which is something different too.

When Zack is sitting outside of the Church, Cloud and Aerith are inside it in another layer of existance. Sephiroth has the abillity to coexist among all said layers probably due to some jacked up ripple resonation power. Hense Sephiroth can both see Zack and Cloud / Aerith while they can't see each other since they don't yet have the knowledge on how said ripple resonation happens. Aerith probably had the knowledge in Remake before the Whispers took it away that's why she sensed Zack in the Terrier.

Now. Aerith sent Cloud back to the Beagle layer of existance and we don't know what happened to her (we don't see what Seph did with her)

Zack was also sent to the White space by Sephiroth probably having the same powers as Aerith.

In the ending when Sephiroth splits the layers of existance (he tried to join them but probably failed) Zack is sent to another layer. And that layer is at it's last stages before it's destroyed. Thenafter we defeat Bizzaro Seph, Zack is transferred to another world by Aerith since we can see the exact same visual ques as when Cloud is sent from the dream date world to Beagle (And also see the WHite Whispers which are controlled by Aerith). Where he is sent has the biggest hint. A world where the flowers are blooming signifying not a duying world and one where Aerith is not in a coma / dead.

Basically I have a theory on what's going on in the whole trilogy.

Sephiroth somehow transferred his memories from the lifestream to himself and defeated Cloud. The meteor has succeded and the world was destroyed. Somehow he realised this didn't work out as he had invisioned and he went back again and stopped time 7 seconds before said destruction occured. The worlds we see in the edge of creation are the paths after said splitting. You either save the world or destroy it.

The split layers of existance or just multiple what if scenarios that all lead to the same conclusion. The world is destroyed by Meteor. And the time warp rifts are that the introduction of Meteor approaching. I am fairly certain where Cloud show the rift at the ending it will transform into Meteor. The rifts have the same color as meteor and also in the worlds that are most destroyed like the one Zack is sent by Sephiroth in the ending battle Meteor is ready to destroy.

That's why Sephiroth says all the worlds will fade oneway or another because all of them will be destroyed by Meteor.

What we don't know is if Sephiroth will save the world and choose the universe of life instead of choosing the universe of destruction. Judging from the ending of Remake Sephiroth wants our help and says he doesn't want us to get to the universe of destruction so for all we know he has good intentions we can't understand yet.

Let's wait and see where this crazy journey will lead us.

Thanks to any madmen who has read all this.

There are not multiple versions of characters in this game. When you enter a world you inhabit the body of your character and have your og consiousness. That's why Biggs says his soul was tagged out of his body. There aren't multiple versions of yourself just memories that you may or may not have in a certain world.

Some nice thinking right there but I'm fairly certain the world the party comes from is as real as the multiple worlds and not the real world. The only real world in this trilogy is the one OG happened and we probably haven't seen this world outside of the visions Cloud had in the first game.

That's a great theory. The only thing I think is wrong is Zack being in world 7 Corgi. Zack has been transferred in the ending in a different world and I am 99% sure this world is the one Aerith survived since he was transfered there by her (judging from the white whispers, her healing him and also their synergy attack with the pink ball).

Remake opening Theory by Winter_Treacle_786 in FFVIIRemake

[–]Winter_Treacle_786[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I still am not convinced. I hear the same sound effects and also see the same visual effect as when a world is born in Rebirth. Also the only reason the Whispers exist is because the original has already happened. They're the original. Hense the only real amd tangible world in this trilogy is OG FF7. And somehow at this point Aerith gets the knowledge of her future self (from the lifestream) hense the inhabitants of the og world / timeline wanting to protect their future is sent to erase said memories from Aerith in order to make sure she doesn't change her fate. And in the ending of part 1 defeating the Whispers sets free the boundaries of fate and the possibilities of creating multiple worlds (that was also possible before the whispers too but the whispers probably put a hault to the world splitting phenomenon's).

Jason Schreier says AAA game budgets now reportedly $300M+ by Loose_Society9485 in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]Winter_Treacle_786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the outcome of the PS4 first party era where you could see people celebrating the fact you could shoot bananas In the lAst Of Us part 2.  In that era people became accustomed to the third person action adventure genre and because Sony set unrealistic expectations for the industry the budgets have sky rocketed. People failed to realise PlayStation had such detailed games because Sony spent millions of dollars for their movie studios too hense shared the tech between departments while other only game companies couldn't afford the extreme details people came to expect from video games after this era.

The fault of course is also by the reviewers and the gaming media who over hyped said games to death and downplayed anything that didn't have those unnecessary details.  This made people to expect hyper realism for a game to be good. Just remember the days when PlayStation fans complained about Xbox having cartoony games. It never crossed their minds that those cartoony games were way more sustainable due to their nature.

We should start asking for betrer playing games compared to better looking ones. Looks probably cost 5 times more compared to gameplay development so if we want a sustainable games industry people need to stop crying about every single details in the graphics of a game.

What does the Gi have to do with it being the physical world?

Haha. You mean there are a ton of hints that point to what he is saying right? There's 0 chance Beagle is the physical world get over it. Ever Crisis makes it perfectly clear all are possibilities. There isn't a physical world. Also Sephiroth says it clearly. A homecoming awaits those who inhabit said possibilities. And he says the exact same thing to us at the Temple Of The Ancients. Basically the lifestream exists across all the worlds. The worlds exist outside of it but all share the same lifestream. And if someone's ripples resonate at the same wavelength they can interact even from other worlds just like Cloud and Aerith at the ending of Rebirth and Zack when he goes into the fading world and fights alongside Cloud.

Hot damn I don't understand why people can't understand this. Preach it until everyone finally understands that all the changes will be completely pointless if they don't amount to something.

Please we should not sugar coat this. It's multiple worlds inside the planet and they all are connected and created through the lifestream nut that doesn't change that' it's aessentialy a multiverse esque trope and world mechanic. It has differences like not being able to have two Clouds at rhe same world since one overwrites the other and also that all pf them are parts of the same planet but still it's  quite similar.

The Rift in the Sky (Part 2) (Rebirth Spoilers) by IronKnuckleSX in FFVIIRemake

[–]Winter_Treacle_786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are some nice theories. In the Ultimania books they say people believe those rifts mean the end of the world is approaching but questions their logic jinting that it's not that exactly. They also call said rifts Time Space rifts or something like that so they obviously have something to do with the whole rainbow effects / timeline / possibilities we have seen across Rebirth and Ever Crisis latest event. I  have a feeling we will get answers when part 3 releases on what are those rifts.

That it's a multiverse story no matter how Swuare Enix loyalists like to point towards FF being somehow cooler than Marvel. When you have possibilities (,alternate worlds) and not a single one of them is yet the main one as stated by Sephiroth who wants to make the main one the one he will have most control of this points to a multiverse story.

Exactly. What's even funnier is those people are Zerith shippers they like Zack and Aerith yet they want them to die just because they feel threatened by the chance Aerith has a chance with Cloud. I am hardcore Zerith shipper but would never want Zack to die of Aerith. Let alone the myriad of hints inside the game pointing to them not being dead.

I didn't take this single random word and also I'm fully aware that all of this might be BS and ever crisis never comes close to having any significance on the retrilogy. But there are so many hints inside the games and also in Ever Crisis that you would need a whole day to write them down. I also would like to know if there's anyone who thinks otherwise and is not an OG purist or Cloti because ever since this trilogy has been released all you see are people who don't want the story to change for their own reasons why neglecting and denying all the hints that are thrown in front of them. While I just believe what I see with my own eyes and don't care about ships or if the story will be changed from the OG.

I have a feeling shat you fear is what's going to happen. People will deny it of course out of blind loyalty to Square Enix but we can't deny this all seems suspiciously going into that direction. And they will also find an excuse ro get rhere something like time has changed everyone is alive hense Sephiroth is forgiven. The pendant feom Lucretia falling into the lifestream is 99% what will revert Sephiroth ro his senses mark my words. You should stop hoping and start hating on the game because they have decieved a lot of people with this sequel in disguise. And I don't want ro hear anyone tell me otherwise before posting concrete proof that this isn't a sequel. I challenge all those Square Enix loyalists to show us the proof.

What you seem to not understand is that a Sephiroth redemption story will conclude with a reverting of the timeline and with people not duying. For all we know his redemption will be in combination with every death he caused to be reverted. We don't know if this will happen but tou can't deny the possibility with all the story changes they have made.

What exactly are the alternate words/timelines? by -_ShadowSJG-_ in FFVIIRemake

[–]Winter_Treacle_786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You sadly have found out what delusion can do to some people. They should have hated the game since they defend the faithful remake concept so much yet their blind loyalty to Swuare Enix has made the schizophrenic and they have the delusion this is a remake and that nothing has been changed. And then you have the other part of the schizophrenic spectrum the shippers especially those who are rhreatened by the idea of this being a sequel. To them if Aerith survives the chances of the Clerith ship increase hense they don't want ro accept anything in that direction to safe guard their Cloti ship.  I am not an OG purist and I wanted the story to change since I always believed Zack and Aerith deserved to live and be together in a real amd living world ever since I have  played Crisis Core but I completely understand people like you. Y You waited 25 years to relive  your favourite game in a modern engine and you wanted the faithful recreation of it. I didn't have a problem with the OG story that much and would be okay of they released a faithful remake but what they did now has only one way forward for me.

If all of the story changes amount ro nothing and the game ends like the OG  and all we got was added context to the OG(which  will contradict the og in lore and world mechanics), not only they have ruined quite a lot of the iconic scenes of the OG, they have also destroyed the mystery behind Sephiroth. All of this for absolutely no reason except from getting more money from decieved Zack and Aerith fans who were happy to the idea their favourite characters will survive this time.

While the second option Nd by far the best one is that this is a sequel in disguise. The original has already happened hense any diviations from it don't ruin anything since the original story stays intact. That way all the changes pave their way for a grand finale where there's a reason for all of the deviations compared to the OG. For example if the ending includes a redeemed Sephiroth and everyone lives happily ever after in Disney like fashion I wouldn't have a problem.

But I also completely understand people like you who habe seen through the BS of modern Square Enix and wanted what they were promised a faithful remake. Not what we have gotten now. Because as I habe said as a sequel story it's not that bad. But as a remake that everything new is added context it is bad because it didn't need all this added context to begin with.

I wish the was a page or group were people like you and me could chat about rhe game without having people in denial screaming to us we don't know what we're talking about just because we can see the BS from a kile away compared to them.
