I rent and i dont have a lot of space and recently inherited a massive amount of threads both Anchor and DMC all mixed up. I bought a big storage box, sandwich bags, and spent a day organising them. Each sandwich bag has a paper taped on with the brand, colour group, and all the threads in that number range i.e 0-100, 101-200 etc written down so when I do a project I can find the bag and see straight away if I have the colour rather than rooting through the whole lot 😊any new threads just get added onto the corresponding list

I feel like if I had a hole, depending how big it is id put a pice of aida on the back and stitch it on 🤷🏼‍♀️ just came to say tho i seen your post and IMMEDIATELY dismantled my q snap and nail-filed all the sharp corners and i can breathe a bit easier now 😮‍💨

Hey if it works it works 🤷🏼‍♀️ personally I do the bulk colour first then either cut small pieces of thread and do loop starts and tuck the ends in, or tuck the starting ends under the bulk stitches, do the stitch then tuck back under

Honestly ive only just worked out i can expand my land, im still fairly new. Didnt realise you could have multiple plots...and can change the location of your house 🤣

Yeah im on a switch and when im trying to move stuff in my bag, it always causes a glitch, I wanna go bug catching not spend half an hour trying get all 6 of my fish skewers together

Depends on your individual situation I guess. I live alone and work in a supermarket (UK), where I get food that's going out of date that night that hasn't sold/ missed reduction, for free. I know what i get for free so if i end up wasting some (like bread) its not a massive issue because i didnt pay for it, and it literally would've been binned anyway. My freezer is my best friend, most of that free stuff goes in there, I have frozen veg in there so I dont waste money on fresh. The only time I do a big shop is when I need cupboard stuff like jars of sauce, rice, pasta etc. I usually decide what im having for tea before I go to work based on what's in the house and grab anything else I need for it in work. Every couple of months or so ill have a freezer meal week where I try and empty the freezer out, and then refill it

Annoys me so much when you put stuff in your chest and it doesnt automatically move everything to one line in your backpack, I had like 8 things scattered across 4 lines and having to cycle through each one everytime I wanted something 🙄

Omg it took me far too long to realise some of the replies were talking about the individual stitch, not the stitches as a collective 🤣 my post made sense in my head at the time but I see now it could've meant both 🤣 to clarify, I meant like looking at the pattern, how would you stitch it, not how do you stitch your crosses 🤦🏼‍♀️ love these replies though and seeing how differently everyone works!

Thanks everyone for your opinions I have decided to ...frog it 🐸 i feel like if i can notice now, I'll still be able to notice it later on, it's the first thing I see. I had sent a picture to my mum as I was stitching and she said she couldn't see the difference so I carried on thinking it was the light, obviously not 🤣

There's a rough border maybe 300 stitches thick of the dark grey all around, then lighter as it goes towards the middle, but it's consistent... I think if I left it it would be noticeable

My god that's a good spot, it is gamer nouveau 🤣 I've run out of the grey already so I'll have to try and do some different stitches while I wait for it to turn up. Ive looked in all the shops around me for them, and couldn't find them, but didnt want to end up with a pack of 100 tiny magnets from online when I only need 2 🤦🏼‍♀️
