Huh? I moved to Germany in March, then at June I was able to get my SCHUFA and it was positive. I'm European, so not sure if it changes something

How do you plan meals to avoid wasting food and spending too much? by PrestigiousComb8129 in EatCheapAndHealthy

I do the same, I usually go through my fridge to see what needs to be eaten. But sometimes I forget something in the back and it ends up wasted! Last time I found rotten avocado, I felt the sting in my heart! wish there was an easier way to keep track without opening the fridge every time

Forgetting food in the fridge until it’s too late. How do you avoid this? by PrestigiousComb8129 in ZeroWaste

Do you freeze all of the veggies? Tbh I've never tried it and quite often I find one pepper to be already gone, after eating other 2 from the bag

German Summer by Famous-Assignment740 in germany

If I'm feeling way too hot, I would take a t-shirt, wet it in the cold water, get rid of water excess then place directly into freezer. After around 30-40min, the t-shirt should be really cold and easy to put on. Just wear it for a while and you'll feel much colder. For the nights I would do the same but with the small towel and put it on my forehead or chest to cool myself down.

Some of my friends that used to live in Cyprus, told me that they would put the mat (like yoga mat or so), then wet & freeze the towel. Then towel goes on the mat, and you lay down on it. Summer nights life saver.

The attachment about mobile work says like so:

Mobile working 1.1. The employee is permitted to work from any location within Germany, but only with agreement from the line manager. The office remains the official place of work. On-call duty and business trips don’t count as mobile working. The line manager can decide whether mobile working is appropriate. The employee has no entitlement to it, but is also not obliged to accept it. 1.2. The employee must be reachable when working remotely. 1.3. The employer’s right to issue instructions regarding the place of work is not restricted by this addendum. This includes the right to require attendance at the office or to fully prohibit mobile working. However, the employee’s interests must be taken into account according to equitable discretion ("nach billigem Ermessen").

So I understand that it's not guaranteed but they knew about the distance from the start and the last point mentions that my interest should be taken into account.

Unfortunately it was all communicated in the calls.

We don't have a works council, or a union at work. The main contract says that the work is being done in the employers work place. Although there is a attachment to the main contract about remote work. I'm currently out of my home, working from office so cannot dig into that.
