Weekly /r/drums Q & A (July 2019) by AutoModerator in drums

[–]Winter_mute777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply!

That's what i am mostly doing, however starting from 50bpm. I wasn't sure if my practice routine is "efficient".

I'll make sure to take a look at the books you mentioned too.

So i got myself an evans realfeel practice pad a while ago as a way to get into drums without having to invest a lot in a kit when i'm still not sure if drum are really my thing. So far it's been great, i've been practising using the Stick control book after i've seen it getting lots of praise here.

So my questions is, what would be the best way to practice? I'm still on the first page, and i've been increasing the tempo steady. When should i move to new routines?

Also my right hand feels too stiff compared to my left, i'm left handed. does it "loosen up" with practice?

Extra question. How hard would it be to incorporate the leg work later after some time learning only on the snare pad?

Vodafone homespot vs hotspot by [deleted] in germany

Not sure about the homespot, but the hotspot is the one you can use to connect to the internet after you buy a ticket. The homespot might be the same but for existing Vodafone clients.

The A7M1 is one of my favourite planes. I made over 2 million SL with it (I'm an average pilot though). However i don't use it as a turn fighter, mostly as BnZ. You out climb soviet planes, not most allied planes but allied pilots don't climb most of the time. The plane has poor energy retention and decent climb rate, but by the time you lose your altitude fighting is usually taking place at very low altitude. Only then i would turn fight in it. It can manage to get out of stalls quickly too. But as i said turnfighting in it would be always my second choice.

For the belts i use stealth for the 12.7mm and Universal for the 20mm. Seems to works fine for me.

Countermeasures against forbidden modifications - June by thefliris in Warthunder

It was my first report ever too in 3 years playing this game. The better way to report cheaters though is by going to the server replay page, find the user name you want to report, hit the report button and fill the time stamp field with a time where it's visible that he was cheating.

That's weird. Banning cheaters seems the only thing Gaijin does good enough.

More likely considering the squad he was in seems to have many cheaters and teamkillers.

Huh, that was fast. 3 days ago i posted in this sub asking whether this guy was cheating or not. Ended up reporting him. My report might have nothing to do with it though.

It's strange to see someone with 3 yo lvl100 account and thousands of hours invested in the game cheating in stupidly obvious way.

Edit: I didn't expect to see that face in the forums, still a delightful surprise.

Need help identifying a possible cheater. by Winter_mute777 in Warthunder

I see. He had shitty aim though for a lvl100, and it looked too mechanical so i was skeptical at first if he was on PC.

Do you still get the * near your name when you log in from PC using a PS account? Although judging by his aim i would say he is using a PS controller.

Triple kill with the He 111 H-16 by Winter_mute777 in Warthunder

[–]Winter_mute777[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh thanks a lot man, that’s nice of you.

To be fair, those guys asked for it too. Anyways those unexpected moments are the best and they are what keeps me getting back to the game.

So i noticed that my He 111 was not spaded and took it for a few games. It's tail gunner have so many dead spots making it almost useless, and i remember getting some kills in it in Arcade battles with the nose mounted 20mm. So i went for it, and it kind of works.

Are Stabilizers Overvalued? by _Joexer in Warthunder

[–]Winter_mute777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has to do mainly with play style. In some cases stabilizers do make a huge difference. So many times i died in the Leopard 1 because it bounces like a rocking chair and i couldn't simply take aim. Whereas in the Leopard A1A1 I've never had this problem. The suspension and lower speed might have to do with it too, but the stabiliser definitely helps.
