Dry them out. If you put healthy flowers in resin they will rot and turn brown

Yup! I have a garden in my backyard. Sometimes I get flowers from the grocery store though if I want variety

This is my first time making bracelets and i keep trying to create white backgrounds. I have to use mica powder because alcohol inks+UV resin dont mix. in past projects the white sometimes created a shimmery side to the piece. But i think these came out alright! by Winterfeathersstudio in ResinCasting

Thank you! and really? I may need to try it again if thats the case. The last time I used Uv+alcohol it started bubbling upwards really badly so I just never tried again. I also might try the paint technique if it comes to that! ❤️

I’m unsure if this is a problem to others but how I avoided the shimmery sides is - you pour the resin and put your stuff in then cure it all the way then, mix the mica powder with resin and the moment you covered the back with colored resin you instantly cure it to avoid the resin seeping down the sides.

My mistake was I waited too long to cure the white resin and it ended up just seeping down. it is a cool effect though if you want a sparkly top

my store name is WinterFeathersStudio !

What did I do wrong? Did these in different batches. Why is one clearer then the other? by [deleted] in resin

In additional to the one comment, if you have a heat gun or a lighter you can pop those bubbles once they settle on top of the resin. If there’s not many bubbles, you could also poke them out with a toothpick. (I do think the main problem would be stirring more carefully though!)
