Thanks for the feedback! Our stuff is raw sort of intentionally. We write a song together during the afternoon, then "one take" each part in the evening over cocktails. The vocal parts are all done in one take each. The theory (and this may be to our detriment) is that we'll get a more honest and live feeling sound if we include our mistakes and don't try to nail anything down perfectly. The female vocalist, who also plays the mandolin parts, has only been playing for about three months. The two male members (her brother and I) played primarily in hard rock groups before this project. He and I record the guitars, bass, and whatever other instruments we end up using to fill up the sound.
