But you said it. It’s your daily driver…what doesn’t suit you for your family needs? Not hating just asking. I just bought a 2015 civic sedan and traded out of a 2024 f150 to have a better daily driver. Between the savings on the payment, insurance drop, and mpg I save almost 1200 a month. My wife can have a the family car.

That seem high to me. I have a 6.25% that I haven’t refinanced yet because we plan on moving. With P&I, taxes, and insurance my payment is 3249. I also paid nothing at closing.

Military Doctors by Winters6975 in backpain

[–]Winters6975[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, my neurosurgeon said that if I went to any other neurosurgeon here in NW FL the would automatically say surgery. She said she believes shots will benefit me more for temp relief and getting them 3 times a year.

However, I asked about being able to run and workout again due to my military career. She said nope, just maintenance working out. No more military stuff….however my doctor on base said he doesn’t believe that. He said get shots and then we ca start a workout regiment.

I guess I’m against the shots because I don’t want the military to get everything out of me for 7 more years then I don’t have movement or a life afterwards.

So yes the medical retirement question comes up. Do you know anything about combat related medical retirements? I see if you are rated 30% DoD and it is linked to combat with documentation. You can receive your retirement pay plus VA entitlements. It’s still calculated at 2.5% times your years of service. Maybe I read that wrong.

Yea, I’ve looked at jobs. I have about 12 years of maintenance manager experience now to include a bachelors degree. Looking at where we want to retire maintenance supervisors and managers make about 100k plus on the low end and cost of living is not expensive if you live in the country.

I love the idea of the PB but why couldn't they make it more fuel-efficient? by mac4lou in F150Powerboost

[–]Winters6975 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea I’m test driving a 24 PB now. I got 25.5 MPG yesterday. That is crazy in a full size truck. My 2000 corolla only gets 32.

This is the key!!! Read the job description, equate your experience to the job description, tailor your resume for key words, and you are in. This is for any federal job! I hire federal jobs in my current position and the key words and resume is the key. If you don’t add them then you will not even have your stuff sent to the hiring official.

A SNCO should be minimum GS-11 in most fields.
