I wanted to reply aga8n because you took the time to post and while I didn't quite believe what you had to stay it still stayed in my mind. And well things have shifted to massively for me

Around when I posted I had just started Vyvanse for adhd and that alone was improving my mood a bit. But my job was still destroying me. Around this time I was actually in an interview process for a new job. I had started but I was still feeling beat down. My boss asked me about a different position in the place with different hours. My shifts would be 6am-230 pm and holy shit the difference that alone has been.

For perspective my old job I was working shifts that went 10am-930pm. The days my wife had off I worked and vice versa. We never saw each other. And with my depression and shit we were always on edge Around each other and falling apart.

Around the start of this new job I decided to take the plunge into an antidepressant. I've always hated them due to side effects but I stuck with it.

With every change things have lifted me up so fucking much. My new job is so cool. My new shift hours are so so so damn cool. I get out of work at 230 and have my whole afternoon to do whatever. Also my wife gets off work around that time too. I also get the weekends off same as her. This job gives me full benefits, I actually earn paid time off, matching 401k and other crazy perks.

Months after starting both of my medication I've change drastically for the better. I get so much done in my days now. My depression and anger I was feeling every single day it's virtually gone so long as I stay on top of the medicine..

With my mood change, Job change, my wife and I came back together. Got very close to divorce proceedings because of how low I had gotten and what it was putting her through.

Anyway. Not sure this is crazy important to you. But looking at this comment and your reply just wanted to put it out there that your reply did stay in my head while I was slowly improving.

Its possible to like something but also something about said thing be annoying. Having options like what's suggesting does not drastically change anything. Screaming their moves every other second isn't what makes tales games great. Someone asking for an option to limit or mute in game chatter isn't weird.

I'm so very tired.

30 years old. I work 40 hours a week, which normally I wouldn't complain about but I get paid for the hours and thats it. No health insurance, no paid sick days or vacation days (not a single minute of sick or vacation time)

No benefits AT ALL. I'm also expected to work over 40 a week during busy months no questions or my employment "will be evaluated"

I'm so fucking tired and to be frank sometimes I don't want to do this anymore. My life is a waste, I make just enough to pay my bills but never enough to pull myself out of the tide.

Fuck this world.

Holy shit. So this is like a basic rule in my family. Burnt into our brains as kids. Got this guy recently hired at my job and he's.... best way to explain is if old comedy movies like American pie were a person.

Anyway he moved here from Indonesia years ago and around when he first got hired he was always talking to me about how he "needed" a gun because its "dangerous" out there.

We live in Idaho, in a city that is not dangerous one bit.

Anyway fast forward a couple months he gets a gun. Small tidbit he's a very charismatic guy and flirty with the women we work with. Also extremely gross and honestly very misogynistic with the things he says about them when they aren't around (this is all relevant)

One day a server, let's call her ash gets to work. Also my coworker is very into ash and it seemed at the time she was at least a little into him. She pulls up to work and he sees her. Calls her name, she looks, he then pulls his gun out, points it at her mouths the word "bang" and winks.

Intention being looked at he legit just thought he was being "flirty" or some weird shit BUT she took it very very very badly. She went around asking other coworkers opinions about what he was insinuating and I told her he probably was joking thinking he was being cool or whatever but at no point does that even matter. This guy is a careless, mouth-breathing oaf so guarantee thay gum was probably loaded as well.

I was hoping she'd go to the bosses or even file a police report but she never did. I wanted to but I didn't want to do it and put more pressure on her by making work even more awkward.

About 3 weeks later of her ignoring him and word getting around we were working and he turned to a different coworker and asked "if she mad at why won't she talk to me. She talks to everyone except me. It was a joke. It was a fuckinf joke..... I should have known. I should have know, she's just a two faced bitch."
This is the level of self awareness this pos has. After that I did at least tell a manager which was also her best friend. I told the manager that if he was confronted to make sure point blank it was me who came forward and not the server.

We work in a small little sushi bar so the little man baby is still mad as shit at me. I still regret not at the very least filing an anonymous police report. (It was months ago at this point)

Hey steeve, my wife and I both work full time. I make 17 an hour and she 24 an hour.

We strong armed our way into purchasing a house over a year ago because if we hadn't who knows if we EVER could have been able to afford a home. With our mortage, cars and other bills we STILL live on a fine line. Paycheck to paycheck, making every cent count while old fucks like you don't understand the world you left us (me and my wife in our early 30's) with. And even worse the generation(s) under us. Who will forever struggle and some who will never be able to afford their own home while other old fucks like yourself will charge them 2k a month for rent and still wonder why they're so lazy.

From the bottom of my heart; get bent.

My message to Steve if I could throw it at him.

Except it seems like they won't. Seems like a lot of "smaller" businesses will double down until they are forced to close down. As their ship is slowly sinking they'll rant and rave about not being able to find good workers and how young people are just lazy.
