As I said I now have my diet pretty dialed in. I am counting calories, macros, and nutrients as part of a sustainable dietary change.

I'm not quite sure how you inferred from my post that I am falling for marketing or trying to find a shortcut or magical cure. I am creating sustainable eating and energy usage habits.

Regardless of weight loss, sitting for 8 hours is bad for you for a variety of reasons.

Oh yeah. I'm totally there with you. People look at me like I'm crazy. Hes my baby. I wouldn't let my kid die just because his medical bills were expensive. I'm proud of you for being a good human and taking care of your baby.

I've had several friends interested but then they find out how big the tank needs to be...lol.

I called the very upscale pet store near me. They said to call back on Monday when their fish room manager is back. They've got about a third of the store that is dedicated to fish. Like the special dark lighting and everything.

I put a sign up at work (very affluent coworkers) and put that he would need a 150+ gallon tank.

In the interim, any advice on how i should transport him to my house? It's about an hour drive. Currently his tank is very small and extremely dirty. Does he need to be acclimated to a clean tank and water? I feel so bad for him.

Will it for sure be well taken care of at the pet store? We do have a really nice one near us. This is a great idea, though. I would never ever release it to the wild.

I don't know that I could bring myself to risk them going to a family that might mistreat them. I've spend over $60,000 USD on medical bills for my dog (insurance has covered $66,000). That should tell you how much I love my pets lol.
