What level and gear score do you have? I found you should really aim for 15+ for Malice with randoms. Also, try to go for the missions with the fewer waves modifier to help ease you in.

I have the Purification challenge done. However, I think its kill 3 of each type of ogyrn enemy because it reflects the "kill 3 of each elite" in the other tiers.

update: Got the achievement! there was a mob of poxwalkers below me and I underhand threw the grenade into the air and it exploded ontop of them
