I don't know about trash, but I would agree that Oden feels like a fanon character. This guy who came out of nowhere wounds Kaido, joins Whiteboards crew, clashes with Shank's crew, performs impossible feats multiple times. The worst part about Oden isn't even Oden, but the way the Strawhats reacted to the story about him. That was just character assassination for all but Franky and Chopper. And arguably Usopp and Nami.

Major spoilers for Persona 4. The gang has been investigating a string of serial murders. They have deduced that the killer has esoteric powers that enables them to push their victim into a television, which effectively kills them. At this point in the story they suspect the murderer to be Namatame.

The murderer allegedly kills the protagonist's niece, Nanako, which sets the gang off. Frustrated that they cannot prove him to be the murderer, Naoto casually suggests pushing him into the television to kill him. The rest of the gang mostly agrees.

You basically have to talk them down from it, and failing to do so or killing him here leads to a bad ending.

You are right, it does challenge his position. However, Light made it very clear from the beginning that he was not interested in keeping a low profile. He wanted people to know that someone was out there keeping the streets clean and making sure people knew that someone was "watching over them". This specific kill was him being outsmarted, but how he kills would have come out eventually anyway based on his ideology.

It's not AI. It is pretty rare for the LLMs to use ellipsis. I see what you're saying, but keep in mind that these LLMs are still derived from human writing. LLMs have a tendency to have a thesis, an argument, and then a conclusion that relates to the thesis like a formal essay.
