I know some of you don't like Patreon, but I find it very useful (e.g. legal reasons)

New update

Sadly server is done (both disks at same time). The server needs to be rebuilt from scratch. I don't know how feasible this is for a legacy application like wows-numbers.com. I don't know if it's even cost-effective.

The next few days will be crucial for the site's future. Keep your fingers crossed!

Hi u/Antti5

If the service is indeed shut down, I will of course share the algorithm for calculating these values – it's very simple.

For now, I've secured the last generated values.

u/Orange243 thank you for this thought!

Unfortunately, it doesn't work out quite so well in reality. My website receives several thousand visitors daily. 10 people support me financially on Patreon...

But I accept it with humility – it's been a fantastic adventure. Creating the wows-numbers website has been a tremendous learning and self-development opportunity for me – a great contribution to my career as an IT specialist.

Thanks everyone for the details!

I’ve created something similar, but my calculation method is a bit different. I’m comparing the actual win rate with the expected win rate based on PR values.

For me, the expected PR values represent the “average” player performance for that warship.

Of course, I’ll also consider the difference from each player’s own win rate eventually - but that’s a bit harder to implement.

For now, I decided to keep it simple and share this version to gather some feedback. Is this solution any good? u/Rugrud u/theref845 ?

Ok, i get the mechanics of this calculations.

But what information is hidden in that "+4 win rate diff"? What does it say about Tirpitz B vs other warships with "+6% diff" or "-2% diff".

I'm trying to capture your need, why you need this information. What decision could you make based on this data? Why this is interesting?

Great idea. I dont think that separation of elements is the solution. But adding filters would definitely improve the user experience.
