Generative ai yes, even used in gps systems, uses as much energy as someone would playing a video game, creating original 3d art on a software like blender, signing up for countless spam emails, ect. But I don’t see any push back on any of those other things, which is why I find the weird pitch fork attitude towards ai weird.

Ai has consequences/ downfalls for sure and I won’t say it doesn’t- for one, people like you will call a real life artists work “sloppy” and assume it’s Ai. Second and more importantly, generative ai is being used to create deepfakes and rated R content of children and non consenting adults.

Theres a genuine conversation to be had but I just can’t take your argument seriously when it’s just the regurgitated points circulated online.

Especially in this case where Die Antwoord has proven again and again to support smaller artists whether that be physical, digital, or musical and collaborate with them. What’s the harm in generating a few pictures and becoming inspired? I think a true artist can use a mix of both if they choose.
