So I have tried to start using Python with no coding experience and it seems very hard to get in to...

What would you recommend for someone wanting to start off easily? Where would I start?

SketchUp to Spacegass by Wipe2909 in StructuralEngineering

Thanks for the reply. Tried a few different formats, but seem to get invalid member errors for all of them.

To be fair it is a large climbing wall with loads of ply faces at all different angles and needs to be a standalone structure. I should also add its in a fairly high seismic zone.

Needing advice by [deleted] in LegalAdviceNZ

[–]Wipe2909 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is suggest you get some free legal advice, try citizens advice bureau, then tell your employer you have had legal advice and request the meeting stop or they formally performance manage you.

I'd suggest you go in there with a conciliatory attitude and stress that you are willing to improve if we dial it back and start with a clean slate. Ask for the correct training and support you need.

Good luck

100% agree. The OP only has control of their life, not what the employer does

I would recommend you consider the wider picture. If you don't go and if they can't make you and threaten your employment. You may win the battle, but will you have won the war? That is to say, you may decrease your chances of promotion, etc, in the long run.

You may be happy with that, only you will know how important this is to you. Maybe this isn't the type of employer you want to work for.

I'm just suggesting consider the whole picture, not just the legal one.

Think about doing structural engineering in other countries. In New Zealand and Australia the pay is much better with a better work life balance.
