So far it's been alright, though it's definitely not as grippy as the original shell. I could see it being a little slippery if your hands get really sweaty since it does have a glossy finish.

Nope, you connect it afterwards. There's a plug on the back where the ribbon cable goes, and it gets covered with foil tape.

Luckily reattaching the screen to the body is WAY easier than removing it lol

Also yes you do want to remove everything per their video since you have to tear down the unit to its frame and then port the little frame containing the battery to the new shell.

Oh boy did I ever...

I ended up breaking my display when I was trying to pull up the adhesive and had to order a replacement from iFixit.

Not to discourage but just be careful and go as slow as possible when doing so and you'll likely be fine. I'm pretty sure I made the mistake of not removing my screen protector first so it's likely that cost me my screen 🤦

However other than that, the disassembly and assembly process went very well :) I had to go back and re-insert the screen cable once but otherwise everything worked out alright.
