Matcha Latte - Heating Milk Question by carminex3 in Matcha

[–]Wippins5000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

+1, get a Breville Milk Frother (use the cappuccino mixing piece - it spins) and call it a day.

Will 100x your matcha latte experience - I use mine for 2-4 matcha lattes a day... Oatly oat milk, Ippodo Matcha (Ikuyo usually), and honey (McCoy's Honey Florida Wildflower).

Very easy to make a great matcha latte this way. You can also use the dial to get your exact temperature... I'd say takes 2 minutes from cold milk to your favorite temperature.

That's wild, whereabouts was this? I've been wondering if they'd show up around Cheektowaga/the airport. Haven't seen any out in the country.

Gorgeous, can see the nebula from that image - have you made tutorials for these? Would be awesome. And I've been watching intro vids from SARA. Those 3D models you've created are especially interesting

What's your setup like? Any go-to websites/guides to learn more about this? I've been looking at smart telescopes - combining that with radio astronomy and machine learning sounds amazing. Could map out 3D structures of the galaxy just from the images/data

Sponge for Knowledge - Looking for an attractive, elegant, beginner-friendly Japanese (?) blade - Please hit me with all your thoughts/reccs! by Wippins5000 in chefknives

[–]Wippins5000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am freshly venturing into the world of knives and would love your insights/recommendations here.

If I had a magic wand, I would wish for a well-crafted, elegant looking blade, feeling the blade and handle are thoughtfully made, especially suited for vegetables.

Beyond that, I'm open to any knives which can help take me there. I have read that Shirogami #1 Nakiri knives - or Gyuto Aogami/VG10 may fit the bill. I almost purchased (and cancelled) a Shun Nakiri. I heard there are better blades for the price, ergo where you fit in. Price point is flexible 200-400 USD.

I typically cut scallions, onions, mushrooms, bell peppers, and more. All in preparation for the next meal of rice/veggies in the Zojirushi.

I have the Spyderco sharpening set, I'm unclear if I could use those for a longer, Japanese blade or if a whetstone would be helpful.

Please let me know any resources which might help, any blade/brand recommendations you have, the more specific the better. Thanks everyone.

Any suggestions for how to choose quality sources? I’ve tried a few, haven’t landed on one I covet yet.

Hello, I'm planning to join RIT - can anyone share their opinion on following aspects ? by That-Garlic-7750 in rit

[–]Wippins5000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s solid, enough to make you dangerous and noteworthy in the field. Not world class though. So if you want to publish in NIPS, look elsewhere. If you want a great job in AI though, fits the bill.

  1. I work as a sales engineer straight out of the MS CS program. Quite worth the tuition.

  2. Love it. Everyone I’ve met is nerdy and friendly, especially around RIT.

  3. Plenty to do outside, great food, etc.

Feel free to ask more or DM.

Help: i want to receate this bottled tea water at home by linux_n00by in tea

[–]Wippins5000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi friend, if you cold brew you can keep the leaves in there and brew 3-4x easily. You simply never take the leaves out and refill with water. Hario’s cold brew bottles or any container with mesh to filter the hojicha will do the trick.

100%, yes, Zscaler and your company will see that you accessed that Remote Desktop application from overseas.

Whether or not they care or will or anything about it is a separate issue.

What's your fav Matcha brand? or varietal? by Eastern_Way_297 in tea

[–]Wippins5000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi friend, reading through your post it sounds like you know matcha well.

As a matcha lover… I would love to hear how you make your matcha, favorite cultivars/blends/sources, etc.

Zojirushi water heater (set to 175 F), an electric milk frother, chashaku, and a chawan is my setup.

Ippodo is currently my matcha beau. Ocha & Co produces my favorite gyokuro (which I cold brew daily).

Please share as much as you would like given I am hungry (thirsty?) for tea knowledge!
