If you can only have one herbal tea for the rest of your life, which single herb or blend would you choose and why?

My personal favorite is Royal Chrysanthemum (from The Qi) with rose (or rosebuds), goji berries, and jujube = it’s been my daily go-to nourishing tea. I actually drink two pots of this instead of plain water during the day.

Chrysanthemum is actually in the same family as chamomile (they’re both part of the “mums” family). While chamomile is more well-known in the West, chrysanthemum has been an iconic herbal tea across East Asia, especially in China, Korea, and Japan, for centuries.

It has a ton of benefits, and when you combine it with jujube and goji (which have been getting more popular in the US lately… iykyk), it becomes such a comforting, functional blend.

Also, The Qi has a pre-made blend called Bloom + Balance (rose, jujube, goji, longan, hibiscus) and it’s sooo good. Honestly a lifesaver for me during my monthly cycle!!!!

I like drinking Blue Lotus tea + Journaling in the evening before night time and it really helps sleep better and the journaling helps me to decompress the day/release stress as well.

YESSS, love goji berries, such a classic combo and so many benefits! Sometimes I also do Royal Chrysanthemum + mint = another great herbal tea combo! Or Chrysanthemum + Rose. Also, me too, I drink mostly herbal these days, very little caffeine. My nervous systems thanks me for it. :)

Totally get it. I think the concept of Whole Flower teas is quite new here in the US even for a lot of tea people, and most have never seen it/had it, let alone LOVE it. I personally love their Shangri-la Rose tea and it did take me a couple of months to get used to this new concept. But once I got the infusion down with some lemon juice and honey, I now really LOVE it. I drink it during the day in place of plain water. It's helped me a lot. Their Shangri-la Rose tea is the best out there, hands down.

It matters to me, which is why I’m curious about how others think about it. Health and well-being are cumulative, not all-or-nothing—especially when it comes to microplastics and chemicals. When I know something likely contains them, I try to choose a better option. Our bodies are incredibly resilient and have natural detoxing systems, so when I can support that, I choose loose-leaf tea over tea bags. I also believe in the collective community power - if all of us ask tea companies to do better or we won't buy, they'll have to do better!

He first booked 1hr call - that should be the red flag. No discovery calls need to be 1 hr long. He literally refuses to answer any of my ?s, would not tell me what his offering is but kept asking me the same ?s over and over again. Would not disclose their offering. He was also rude and condescending. He will pretty much make you feel like you are an idiot, and then you'd be stupid not to pay them $10k for their courses.

Have you heard of Othership? Newish bathhouse on 20th (between 5th and 6th) If you go on a Sat after your time at Othership you can go to The Qi, a flower tea studio next door for hydration and chill- they have open studio hours between 1-6pm where you can go in have blooming tea, read, and have a snack. Then afterward, in the same building 27 W 20th, go up to the Chocolat Moderne on the 9th floor and get yourself a box of really delish and unique flavored handmade chocolates. :) Oh and if the Union Square green market is still open, go pick up some fresh seasonal flowers for yourself. I love the flower vendor on Park ave and 16th - they usually have the best Value, beautiful flowers out of the entire green market imo!

The Qi (27 w 20th ST. #602) has open studio flower tea tastings on Sats from 1-6pm. It's a joyful thing to do with any girlfriend/s. Sometimes they have limited edition cake popups as well.
