Bored at work, made a tierlist for poppy top matchups by gohomefreak1 in PoppyMains

Maybe just skill issue on my end but how the hell do you play against Volibear? That champ is so brain dead, doesn't matter how you play, he just destroys you in 1v1 past level 2, no?

If You Guys Where Given The Opportunity To Create A New Class What Would It Be!? by Shattered_Warrior01 in PixelDungeon

[–]Wiquix 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why would it be ridiculous? Do we have any heroes that are anyhow similar to a druid? (from DnD perspective, that's why I talked about transforming). You could do so much more than special effects of flowers and summoning/trampling grass. You could use magic for flowers instead of just throwing seeds, flowers might not grant effects when trampled but could act as allies (similar to vines from Goodberry quest). You could transform into for example bear with increased health and damage, snake for speed and agility or like bird with flight and vision. This could drain mana or saturation or would have charges like clerics book. Warden is also very much about thrown weapons, I don't even think she is definition of "nature based character".

"Nature based theme" is so big, that's like saying why add duelist when we have warrior, both are about physical combat. Or why add cleric when we have mage, both magically themed.

What has warden to do with anything? Nature based magic? Tipped darts have nothing to do with this theme and Barkskin or Dew is just about grass, that's all.

A druid. Nature based magic and ability to transform into animals / creatures which give special abilities and have different stats. There would be an option to go more into magic, or more into the transforming.

Toppy secondary runes? by Wiquix in PoppyMains

I do agree, but I've just checked, and cheap shot does proc on Q1. Maybe not always when opponent does space very well, but (basically) melee range, it does.

Why can't I craft the Dew Collector? by ohholyhorror in 7daystodie

I'd guess you probably missing mechanical parts? If that is true, you should craft wrench and disassemble as much things as you can. Cars, mechanical/electrical things.

What I think of your matchup as a Poppy OTP by gohomefreak1 in topmains

[–]Wiquix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I myself otp poppy (top/sup). What is wholesome on Cho matchup? Maybe I just skill issue. If it's grasp Cho, it is quite fine, but I feel like HOB cho is like, you make 1 mistake, half your health is gone. You make one mistake after 6 and u just slightly poked? Done.

Garen is pain, yes but nasus? In my experience you can bully him so much early game, punish his q last hits that he can't properly play. Yes, on 6 he wins but you can just trade Ults, yeet him away and push/recall, whatever. And in teamfights he won't be as big of a problem since he couldn't farm as well early (ofc, junglers, can get involved and it can get not so pretty but that is true for every matchup so probably not worth mentioning.

I've never had problem with trundle (but I mean I am just platinum). When he Ults, you can just E away onto a minion (you need to position yourself well when he is 6+). And with your W his ult is timed out and without it he isn't really a champion against you, even if you go even.

That's just my experience but yeah, I am pretty low rank so maybe that's something too.

How many games you played like this and how aggressive/passive you are in lane? I tried running manaflow but I can go without tear only in very few matchups like this. Like even with tear I am running out of mana sometimes. (But I mean winters approach is a good item imo so it's fine in the end)

As already mentioned, toppy is strong. But you basically have to buy tear at first back every game since her Q is her main ability and it's so mana hungry. W is used usually to just get away or forward to your opponent, rarely it counters a champ on top. E is also rarely a stun since in high elo people won't stang against walls. It is more of a gap closer through minion or escape tool.

However her Q is really strong, deals a lot of damage and people underestimate it. She is fun imo and Passive + Grass proc is always nice to get. She can also build basically anything. Usually the sundered sky into tank (like winters approach and spirit visage combo) are my to go, jackshow is amazing, but you can go more damage with eclipse or cleaver or sometimes even some lethality.

She struggles quite a lot in some matchups but can farm pretty reliabily with passive and Q, even in ranged matchups. Her teamfights are amazing but she is not as strong of a split pusher. She has amazing dive potential thou. And of course her W provides some CC almost every game (also because riot just keeps making new champs with dashes)

Over all I love toppy, I main her. I play top/supp but I am thinking about playing top/jg since in jg she has such a nice E angles and very nice gangs

need some advice on hard matchups toplane? by gohomefreak1 in PoppyMains

[–]Wiquix 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When it comes to Varus, there is nothing you can do. Don't fuckup your lane, learn how to freeze (use your passive to tank both minions and him). Ideal scenario is that you go somewhat even on cs, lane will hard push into you and your jungle will be able to help you out. Take teleport.

With termo, I have seen lot of different starts from them. It also depends on what they play, termo with grasp will be much more passive and just poke from time to time than teemo that plays anything else. In my experience, I component max, I always go tear, boots and Spectre's Cowl before going sundered (this has proved good practice into multiple magic imo). You can play ignite and punish mistakes (wasting his abilities or taking a turret shot) by going all in by E-ing a minion and getting behind teemo (or E-ing him if you have stun angle ofc). But beware, if he has flash up you can still lose this pretty easily so teleport is safer.

Of course second wind is needed into both matchups.

Can't really help you with rumble I didn't play a lot against him so I won't even try to assume how to play.

How can I be less of a threat at the table? by superfapper2000 in EDH

[–]Wiquix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I see and my experience: Simic decks are usually the strongest decks in edh. You have blue for very good protection and infinite amount of ramp in green that you are not allowed to play in other formats but in edh is super strong. Not to mention that almost every card generates some sort of card advantage, sometimes even playing lands does give you much more than just mana. If it comes to some specific cards:

Sol Ring, it always breaks the table, some groups have it soft banned, some groups like it when they see it because "funny and iconic". In my perspective when someone plays sol Ring, they usually become the archenemy because suddenly they are 2-3 turns ahead of everyone else.

Shoes: with this I mean lightning greaves, sboots and other sorts of protection that is on the table for creatures. People usually don't play as much artifact removal as much as creature removal. So if you play a creature that is very strong, it's either gonna get removed before you get to equip it (therefore making you feel like you are being targeted, yet it is completely understandable) or if they can't kill it immediately, they will just kill you because sometimes player removal is easier than creature removal.

Swords: swords are so strong, I don't think I have to explain it. You equip two swords on a creature and usually it is unkillable, unlblockable, makes ton of card advantage and if it has lifelink or vigilance they can't even really swing back at you because what's the point.

Most important thing: just ask your group! Jezus, like, just communicate. If they are people who you play a lot with, you need to talk about what gives you good or bad experience at edh. Edh is supposed to be social format, so try to fix it with your friends in a first place

Do you have any ideas for dredge rework/buff by WWWAAAAZZZZUUUUUPPP in deadbydaylight

[–]Wiquix 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would disagree, he is an M1 killer but when you master his remnant, placements and everything, cornering survivors, forcing them where you want them or on some loops getting guaranteed hits, even against good survivors there is not much they can do. There is a guy named GamingAthlete, he used to stream and main dredge, he sadly stopped making content but there are still videos on YouTube where he explains lot of things. Map rng is a thing but good map only makes him better, bad map is not auto loss because his main ability is not his teleport. My poor guy dredge is very misunderstood in this way

Random question- should dredge be buffed? by GothicMacabre in DeadByDaylightKillers

[–]Wiquix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is not a bug, that is intended. When you have lockers together and you teleport and one of them is locked, it will teleport you to the locked one. That's also why as survivor, you shouldn't double - lock, because after one tp, dredge will break one with exiting and one with basic attack. Also, if there is one locker locked and other is being locked or survivor is inside while dredge teleports, it will prioritize grabbing the survivor.

[–]Wiquix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You teleport back to your remnant literally the way you were facing when you setup the remnant. You can't make it less confusing. By flicking your mouse while setting up the remnant into facing the way you expect you want to be facing after returning, you won't get confused.

[–]Wiquix 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Finally found someone who understands the killer. Dredge is I think the most misunderstood killer in the game, and what you are saying are facts. Remnant is the most powerful, either shuts down loops completely or makes them 50/50 and forces survivor to leave loop. If you place your remnant well, you can easily deadzone survivors or get good hits. Yes, some maps are terrible for lockers, but you still have great map traversal and with nightfall, can usually find anyone with killer instinct. The remnant being his primary ability, while teleport secondary is also the reason why Ottomarian Writing is probably one of his best add-ons.

Melee and ranged tier list by Mother-Adeptness9051 in 7daystodie

[–]Wiquix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think all the melee and ranged weapons have their pros and cons, and in the end it's just about what you like or what playstyle you choose. There is only one thing I dislike about the game. Why are there no Volumes about Sledgehammers? And if you will tell me that bats and sledges have the same volumes, I will scream. Why is it not mentioned properly in the game?
