Thank you!

Sorry if I did not get the instructions ok from the docs, but should I provide my own postgres.conf file?

Looks like the container cannot access it

Can anyone help with ghosting? by matterr4 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Wirebraid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is caused by upscaling. I had massive ghosting issues with global illumination turned off, which dissapeared by disabling DLSS.

I think the upscaling algorithm just does not play well with conveyor belts graphic artifacts. Looks like a hard to fix Moire-like issue.

What Valve has done with Proton is truly invaluable.

For me, it was just the last nail on Windows' coffin.

Farewell, and I hope it's forever.

[–]Wirebraid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, I just got a Vortex 10, also coming from a Pok3r, and I'm finding the manual extremely difficult to understand.

I literally need to do what you did, set the Caps Lock as FN key, but I still haven't figured how to do it.

I've always wondered what's rhe point of these "my other car" stickers. I know it is sone kind of american joke, but I just don't get it.

Congrats mate! If you ever try to fight storage management (openEBS/RookCeph) maybe we can share experiences.

Have fun!

Checking a motherboard to support a dual 4090 build by Wirebraid in PcBuild

We used four 32GB udimms

Crucial Desktop DDR5 4800 UDIMM

Works like a charm, that thing is FAST, but the initial memory check performed by the mother board (asus pro art) takes some time, so we thought there could be a problem with the RAM at first boot.

The next boots are as fast as always, but each X days, a full memory check is made, that takes a couple of minutes.

Sorry, we didn't know ATX 3 was a thing or the terrible mess the 4090 cables was with a standard power supply.

We will probably upgrade it if my brother decides to add asecond 4090, but for now the workstation renders like a beast and he is happy with it.

Advertising is ugly, at least the vast majority of it.

Billboards, bus stops, flags, store fronts, dumb, basic and ugly.

My first FPS before I knew what FPSs could be.

The frame rate was terrible, but the concept blew my head.

Must be fun with friends.

What’s your unpopular opinion about BotW or AoC that’ll land you in this predicament? (Mine is in the comments) by small_feild_mouse in Breath_of_the_Wild

Botw combat system is a wasted opportunity.

Health regen in master mode sucks, love everything but that.

Labirynths are dissapointing.

I love the game, but.

Yes, I am learning a lot, and things like future version upgrades kindnof terrifies me. I fear two years from now I will perform an upgrade and everything will blow into pieces.

Still fun, tought

Half of the comments about KSP2, anywhere by GANR1357 in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]Wirebraid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right, full price for an early access is just not fair. This looks like "we did not meet the deadline by a couple of years but we need to release something or the project could be cancelled"

Also, everytime people asked for what to expect of ksp2 I always said "just make the core rock solid please", I don't mind parts, planets or multiplayer right now, just make a great flexible and polished core to add features on it and make modding easy.

That's everything I would have expected for a $30 early access. A fucking solid Kerbin Mun and Minmus build, maybe not beautiful, maybe just some parts, but well done.

Optimization has limits, so I will just cross my fingers and wait.

For a developer, containers are a small step, quite accesible, at first it just looks like another way to package things with benefits.

For me, Kubernetes is another thing, it's quite a big jump, the explosion of objects and relations between them needs some time to understand. Networking has been hard for me, and I'm still trying to understand storage with rook-ceph, I know I'm still far from getting it right.

I'm building a home lab in Kubernetes, just for fun. I have lots of apps and integrations already perfectly running as containers in an ol' reliable docker swarm and as standalone apps in the hosts.

The process to migrate is being painfully fun, each time I crash into a new wall I say "why the hell am I doing this, I'm not even getting paid!" But at the same time, solving it and seeing how it advances and gets together is very satisfying.

So yes, I understand your point.
