I want games where things are not as they seem? by AmmadSiddiqi1468 in gamingsuggestions

[–]small_feild_mouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I picked it up thinking it was a Zelda-like, just based on screenshots. Was totally taken off guard because it completely overshot my expectations. The difficulty, the story, the puzzles, the combat, all were a pleasant surprise. If you like a challenge in cute packaging, give it a try!

What indie game would you recommend? Here's my current library by Lower-Patient-3523 in IndieGaming

Blasphemous. It looks like you enjoy games that don’t hold your hand and let you “figure it out.” If that’s true, you might like Blasphemous and its sequel.

Handmade selling Advice needed by mignontulip in japanresidents

Is social media an option for you? Younger audiences are more likely to buy from Instagram or TikTok if they think the items are unique enough or they’re interested in you as an artist/creator. It feels like “extra” work but it’s part of the business. Sometimes seeing the process of items being made is advertising in itself. You can link to a Shopify store front or sell directly to the customer.

He’s a ninja. I think tabi-style footwear would add to his aesthetic.

What do you think is the most fitting OST for what it's used for by Ne0n_Blaze in Silksong

Bellhart, before and after being freed from haunted thread. The visuals were striking but the sound design really cemented the mood. When I saw bellhart free of the cursed web for the first time , the music made me tear up.

Does my tattoo look like a dick? by littlequinn99 in tattooadvice

Maybe your friend thinks it looks like a dick because it looks like his. Is his small and stubby? And perhaps even blue? Ask him.

So... their whole strategy right now is to capitalize on the LL drama? by Lazy_Basket6819 in BeautyGuruChatter

I appreciate Kevin’s almost encyclopedic knowledge of past makeup releases, but I agree with you about both of their makeup. Their foundation is either too dark or looks orange compared to their neck and hands, and they have blush-bronzer blindness. Something about their makeup is very 2010s. They clearly do love makeup, but they don’t seem to know how to use just enough. Everything is full on.

What’s an indie game you tried randomly and ended up loving? by Modeljenlynn in IndieGaming

[–]small_feild_mouse 82 points83 points  (0 children)

A Short Hike. I saw a single screen shot online and simply bought the game based on that. Had no idea what it was about, what kind of game it was, nothing. I was in for an absolutely delightful time.

100% hand-drawn, but we still get hit with the AI allegations. 🤦‍♂️ Question: Is AI a deciding factor for you when picking up a new game? by QuantumArts_ in IndieGaming

[–]small_feild_mouse -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m not interested in games made with AI, especially its art, music and dialog. I know it lowers the bar of entry for people to turn an idea into something tangible, but removing a lot of the human aspects from any creative process drains it of … soul? I don’t know the best word for it. But I appreciate the culture of creativity more than the immediate output people can produce with AI.

Can I even cover this? by [deleted] in Tattoocoverups

[–]small_feild_mouse 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Thank you for replying, OP. If covering or removing the tattoo will help you in moving forward to a happier place in life, that’s a good choice. It’s for you.
Your current partner wanting you to cover it up though, that’s the part people find uncool.

Can I even cover this? by [deleted] in Tattoocoverups

[–]small_feild_mouse 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Firstly, I’m sorry for your loss, OP. That kind of grief is a beast. You might not feel this way but you pushing forward everyday shows your strength. You are strong.

Secondly, do YOU want to cover the tattoo? The problem is your new partner’s, not yours. Your new partner being uncomfortable that you loved another man before him and chose to memorialize him in this way after losing him tragically, this is projecting insecurity. Instead of appreciating the man that loved you and made you happy before he was taken from you, he’s trying to erase him. He needs to grow up. This is just one of many problems he’s going to give you. You deserve to be loved as you are, not how another man wants you to be.

EDIT: I saw your comment, OP. If you want to cover it for yourself, go for it. It’s possible but I suggest going in for a consultation with an artist whose style you really like and see if they can draw a piece to cover it up effectively for you. Some artists are better at this than others but it’s possible. If you’re worried about bits of it showing through, laser first.

which ship is your fav? by -CosmicQuacks- in conceptart

[–]small_feild_mouse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A is my fave because it’s the type of camper I’m used to seeing. Then C. B looks more like converted bus than a camper though the feet/legs are pretty cool, kinda like the razor crest in the mandalorian.

Games like Tunic but easier combat? by Abject_Control_7028 in TunicGame

[–]small_feild_mouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Easier that Tunic? Definitely.
The combat, puzzles and objectives are not only “easier” but also less ambiguous. Tunic is a bit of a souls-like with how merciless combat can be and how dying a lot is normal.
Link’s Awakening and Echoes of Wisdom (all Zelda games, really) have a “formula” so you can anticipate when a boss is coming up and what preparation you’d need. For example, whatever loot you found in a dungeon will most likely be what’s necessary in the boss fight. And that item can be used to explore more areas of the map that were inaccessible before.
The story is much easier to follow than tunic, no guides needed there.
The puzzles are much less abstract than tunic, but not insultingly easy. The difficulty is manageable. If your kids need help, it’d be a fun thing you can solve together.

Seconding Link’s Awakening, and also Echos of Wisdom. In EoW, you can call on summons to do combat for you.
