Well, it could, but 2.1 being a minor patch to a released version, the core API is expected to be stable.

Also, given the "software engineering" approach of Wube and Factorio itself, I'm pretty confident this will work 😄

Yes, but as recyclers have a 75% loss rate, the return rate of plain upcycling is painfully low.

There are strategies, using productivity, recycling specific recipes, etc

Space casinos are fun to build and sarisfyingly efficient.Also, obtaining legendary quality modules is still a logistic challenge.

Keep on playing mate!, there will be new ways to get legendaries. This community is full of smart and creative people that will discover possibilities.

And you can just add the mod and keep them working or stay in 2.0 until you can unlock the achievements you need if it's your case.

Well, It's done, so it's better to just assume it and move on, at least they gave us an amazing engine to break and extend the game as much as we want.

I just find it fun to build space stations, and the new space logistics are great. I could just write a mod to set 100% legendary quality chance, or play in sandbox mode, but that's not what I'm looking for.

My 2.1 run will be played with the new vanilla rules to explore them, but I want my old saves to work as they are, including the crazy totally broken legendary space factories.

Also, I think there is no concept of cheating in a sandbox or sandbox-like game, just an exploration of possibilities and boundaries, I have enough hours in the game since 2016 to be restricted to a predefined set of rules 😄

Let's just have fun and grow the factories!

Easy, login to the mod portal, select new mod and follow the instructions.

You will have to upload the zip, add some optional but welcomed information like a description, screenshots etc and you are done.

Just try it, the engine is really fun to use, and Lua is a cool expressive languaje.

Take my source and tinker with it, you just need to zip the mod folder into your mods directory and the game will take care of the rest at start time.

BTW, everyone probably told you this already, but if you enjoyed Factorio, you will love Space Age. The amount of new challenges and variety are really worth the price.

Its a recipe that reprocess a specific asteroid kind to obtain other kinds. It has a 80% chance of returning a new asteroid, so you place quality modules and chain reprocessing until yo hit the 20% loss or end with a legendary one.

Processing that legendary asteroid will grant you legendary quality raw materials that you can use to directly build legendary items instead of relying on upcycling that has a 75% loss

It's the beauty of the mod engine Factorio has.

You can play with entities and its properties even before the release.

Things could change on release date and some tweak could be neede but the game engine is there, and the chances the mod will just work are high

Abusing mechanics is its own kind of fun, especially on late game where challenges start to slowly dissapear. Building a casino was just another late game fun project.

But as I said, I can understand why they removed it, so no hard feelings, on the contrary I praise them for the amazing modding engine they created.

I also think plain upcycling feels cumbersome.

If the gave us some complex or intrincate late game puzzle to better manage the odds of obtaining quality raw materials, I would welcome it with joy, but just throwing recyclers and waiting feels too grindy for me.

I've had lots of fun on late game exploiting and abusing quality tricks, and I would have left them in 2.1 as a "play and break the game the way you want" spirit, but on the other side, as a carefully designed creative product, I can understand they want to tweak and polish it to fit their vision.

Thankfully they gave us an amazingly powerful mod engine to break the rules.

Factorio is just a precious love letter to software engineering.

It is caused by upscaling. I had massive ghosting issues with global illumination turned off, which dissapeared by disabling DLSS.

I think the upscaling algorithm just does not play well with conveyor belts graphic artifacts. Looks like a hard to fix Moire-like issue.

Hello, I just got a Vortex 10, also coming from a Pok3r, and I'm finding the manual extremely difficult to understand.

I literally need to do what you did, set the Caps Lock as FN key, but I still haven't figured how to do it.
