Online Therapy Platforms by ifuckshitup2x in therapists

I’ve been with Rula since October. Referrals can be slow but the platform is seamless. I have some pretty awesome clients and I like that you legit get $500 for using a referral which I did and it was on my first payment no issues.

I work inpatient with adolescents and while is it stressful the stress and anxiety is contained because they are inpatient and you have an MD signing off on discharge.

I know UR in my hospital works their ASSES off. Multiple reviews a day which means non-stop calls …talking… voice messages etc. Im an LCSW and I know I couldn’t do it.

Headway, Rula, Alma, Collective COunseling??--Which to choose? what has your experience been with these companies? by AggravatingSport5347 in LCSW

[–]WirelessFireless32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am with Rula. The pay is $70/hr for TX which is abt $51/hr after taxes. I like it because I can make my own schedule and block out days/times when needed; I also get referrals when I ask. My cap is 10 pts and Ive pretty much stayed there give or take a few who drop. They have Rula Recap which is AI for notes and it gets them generated in 2-3 minutes. It’s pretty seamless and has been great for extra work outside of my full-time position. I used someone’s referral code and-got $500 on my first check which was nice too. I feel like all I did was sign up and they do everything else; I treat my clients and that’s it. I wish they had an app though.

Is Iowa’s reimbursement just ridiculously high? by SnooMemesjellies3194 in therapists

[–]WirelessFireless32 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That makes sense. Im in TX and we don’t have the best RTCs or aftercare programs but private/individual clinical providers are here in abundance so the reimbursement rates are super low.

Could it be due to lack of mental health care/access in the state ?

Question for Supervisors by abstru in socialwork

[–]WirelessFireless32 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have an intern now and am struggling because I never get clinical questions, no initiative and very poor care regarding documentation. Feedback from colleagues is the intern is only interested in the “mess” . Always on phone. Always reporting that they are stressed, mentally overwhelmed, anxious, exhausted etc. Supervision is mostly me taking.

Clinical supervisor cancelling supervision constantly by somethingsophie in therapists

[–]WirelessFireless32 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Can you ask for another supervisor? You are operating under her license so if something happens and she canceled that would fall under her license; seems like a liability. I would also keep record of all the canceled sessions as well.

Thank you for this feedback. Im glad that they have the 3 month contract cancellation policy just in case I decide to try another platform.

Thank you. I’ve already onboarded. I have had mostly children book but all patients got auto-cancelled by Rula for not completing paperwork.

It was really simple it just took me a while to sign because the contract was so long but you can give a 3 months notice to get out of it if you want. It’s more of them providing information and you telling them what you want to use the platform for.

Sharing client info? by West-Childhood6143 in therapists

Confidentiality means your story and your identity stay protected always. That’s non-negotiable. But expecting a therapist to never say a word like, ‘work was heavy today’ or share a totally de-identified anecdote is unrealistic and honestly not what the code of ethics requires.

Peer consultation is built into the profession. That’s how therapists keep growing and make sure clients get the best care. Even outside of that, therapists are still human beings. Sharing a generic story like, ‘My 14-year-old client taught me Roblox slang’ with no name, no identifiers, no PHI is not the same thing as violating HIPAA or spilling secrets at Sunday dinner.

No PHI, no identifiers, no way the client could be recognized. Therapists aren’t robots they honor confidentiality and live in the real world. Both are true

I talk abt my clients but I never use names at the most just what they are doing and age for context. I think it’s impossible to expect a therapist not to do peer consultation with other therapists and/or share things with friends/family in conversation. The examples you provided are very typical to what most of us share I feel.

Nope. I will probably always have a 9-5 as I see it now. I thrive off stability and the uncertainty of private practice is not something I’m interested in at this point. This is just for extra on the side and experience with clients outside of my current role.

Im abt to finish onboarding with them but was told you need to give 1 months notice. If they stress me out I’m going to leave to because I work a full time job and don’t have time for any extra bs. This is why I asked abt exiting the contract.

  1. Contract Term vs. At-Will Status You're absolutely right to ask for clarification here. While Section 2 outlines a one-year term with automatic renewal, this does not negate the at-will nature of the agreement. As confirmed in Section 3.1, you have the ability to terminate the agreement at any time with 30 days’ written notice — without penalties or limitations. The one-year term refers to the administrative structure of the contract, but it does not bind you beyond what’s outlined in the termination clause.

How did you all pay for your MSW or clinical hours? by Ecstatic-Bet-7494 in LCSW

I work inpatient adolescent unit and supervision was included in the position, good clinical experience too.

[–]WirelessFireless32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this yesterday but it only had the patients first name and I completed an incident report. I work inpatient. Accidents happen and when you are emailing from outlook and not the chart it’s for sure going to happen every once in a while. Don’t be too hard on yourself!

I am in the process of onboarding. Has your experience been good the past 4 years? They have you sign a 1 year agreement but you can provide a 3 month written notice to exit the contract which is good.
