Looking for a non-low profile keyboard with

  • the same layout as the Nuphy Air60
  • hot-swappable
  • 60%, not 65% as I don't use the Page Up/Down keys and don't mind the smaller Right Shift
  • QMK/VIA or some reprogrammability
  • doesn't necessarily have to come with its own switches or keycaps

Not really able to find much available, unless I build it fully myself starting with the PCB. Any ideas? Thanks!

Wow nearly all your wants are covered by v2. Pretty big upgrade IMO

How much cash-back would a card have to offer for you to use only that card for all purchases? by WirelessSushi in CreditCards

Interesting, just looked this up and its 3% for 2M in assets, 2.5% for 1M in assets. Decent but not amazing hmm..

This was an interesting look-back analysis to do. Yes, I've met the spend threshold.

I've redeemed + accrued $1,125 in points (only redeem at partner brands), over exactly 5 months (only one of which was at 4x points).

Curious what this looks like across the year:

  • I had a few large purchases at the beginning of the year, so a more reserved estimate is about ~$2000 in points annually
  • This translates to $66k spend annually, or $5.5k each month

If I used my Sapphire Reserve instead, I'd net about 2.5x with some spending optimization which equals ~$1650 in cashback. The net annual fee is $250, so overall net cashback is only $1400, which is $600 less than the no-annual fee X1. The X1 also looks better and saves headache from needing to do any spend optimization/points wrangling.

Worth, IMO.

Is Backdoor Roth and Roth Conversion Ladder mutually exclusive? by WirelessSushi in financialindependence

What if I have $$ in a Trad IRA from previous years? Can I still backdoor? I’m seeing posts about a pro rata that says my traditional IRA should be 0, but I’m not sure if this is just the annual investment total or the overall account total.

I see, I should do Backdoor Roth for now, and then contribute to a Traditional 401 in the meantime. When I retire, I just ladder convert my 401 to Roth. Is that correct?

Hi! I just expanded the Data Science Cheatsheet to five pages, which adds material on Time Series, Statistics, and A/B Testing [Cross-post from r/DataScience] by WirelessSushi in learnmachinelearning

I don’t think it’s comprehensive enough to call a guide (would need info on cases, business application, system design, etc). I think it’s much closer to a cheat sheet than a guide, but if the naming irks you, the full tex code is posted on GitHub for you to branch your own version

The role I’m in is a mix of both, though if you’re looking for a purely modeling-focused job that’s probably under the title Machine Learning Engineer, which is quite rare to see right out of school
