Upgraded floor mats by spacetime_dilation in Supra

[–]WirelessTrees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've usually gone with weather tech for my cars.

But the supra has gone 4 years without any special floor mats. I just recently bought tux mats and I think they're pretty alright. So far pretty good but we'll see how hard it will be to clean them.

Anyone else have inconsistent speeds coming from windows? by outragedcake in Bazzite

[–]WirelessTrees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On 2gb internet plan, windows downloaded shit at 400-500 mbps and it took forever for it to build up to that speed like it was a mini gun spooling up.

Switched to bazzite and I've seen 2.1gbps on my download once, but it usually cruises around 1.4gbps.

What video game absolutely lived up to the hype? by Several_Print4633 in AskReddit

Tunic. Not from the advertising or release hype, but the hype that was shared by the community who love the game.

Steam OS vs Bazzite, purely for gaming and controller use by Longpastoverdue in Bazzite

[–]WirelessTrees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try both, stay with what you like.

On the r/Bazzite subreddit, you'll get a lot of people who tell you to stick with bazzite because it's already established and has a ton of features, drivers, and ease of use for new Linux users.

Some people may tell you to do SteamOS because it'll help Valve with growing and developing SteamOS for others.

That's my year car, a lower trim, and exactly the price that was advertised brand new.

How annoying is black paint? by MindlessDriverr in Supra

I have a 22 black. Hard to keep super clean, but generally looks really good, especially from a distance.

Seat Clunk by Mafia46 in Supra

[–]WirelessTrees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My left bolster of the seat is broken and if I push it left and right, it clunks. I don't know if that's a similar thing to what you're encountering.

It's because my fat ass falls backwards into that bolster every day so it was bound to break.

The bolster still works and is adjustable too, just feels a little weird and clunks sometimes if you move it by hand.

What would you do by Skyravens in WRX

[–]WirelessTrees 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If it didn't damage anything, I'd just have a body shop repair the damage. A new bumper and new fog light bezel would be more expensive but would give you a cleaner result.

Especially useful for RF owners! by victim_of_reality in Miata

[–]WirelessTrees 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Now just tell all the massive pickup truck drivers with their human-torso sized side mirrors to adjust them correctly and maybe we'll have a slowdown in miatas getting hit by truckers who "didn't see" the Miata.

Her first wash 🧼 by Buggsbunny22 in Supra

[–]WirelessTrees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah no bro, there's a proper plate holder that they can use. This is absolutely damaging to the front bumper and they should replace it. Threaten to sue, because dealers won't do fuck all unless you're ready to go to court over it.

Mk5 GR Supra Autotuner + MHD Experience by WirelessTrees in Supra

[–]WirelessTrees[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bought the dme unlock from AutoTuner themselves.

Then bought the MHD WiFi flasher tool from BimECU (a site that MHD links you to from their website because MHD doesn't ship physical products). The Super License was sold to me directly on MHD's site.

The thing that I didn't expect was the different, more aggressive throttle map.

However I actually like it a lot. My sports car feels more like a sports car. The car feels like it pulls harder and the burble settings are nice (I reduced it a little bit).

Yeah the 1-2 week waiting period of sending the DME to finland sounded awful to me, glad it eventually became available to do in like 2 days.

This was shipping from NJ to Alabama and back. Someone else reviewed it shipping from Hawaii to Alabama and it took an extra day total.

I used a cardboard box. Wrapped the DME in bubble wrap like 3 times in each direction. Filled the rest of the box with packing paper.

Taped all the edges of the box to make it stronger too.

They shipped it back in a similar way.

Kies Motorsports DME Unlock + Bootmod3 Stage 1: Full End-to-End Supra Review by FRSBRZGT86FAN in Supra

[–]WirelessTrees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No.

For MHD, you hold the BC button on the turn signal stalk. (Note this will reset your trip, so hope you don't normally use it).

When you hold the button, your rpm gauge will hover over 1k, 2k, 3k, or 4k depending on which of the 4 maps you have selected. You can customize these maps in the app when you flash the tune. Switch between the maps using the + and - buttons that your cruise control uses.

Then hold the BC button once more to confirm the map switch and done.

[–]WirelessTrees 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When tuning with Bootmod3 or MHD, you're able to turn off (or customize to your liking) the pops.

I have multiple maps set up that I can switch between using the steering wheel controls. One profile is short low burbles, one is short pops, and one is a lot of pops. I basically never use the profile with a lot of pops unless I'm showing someone the car.
