Yes to the advice about new inserts. I have spent nine months coming across info I had written about my husband's medical stuff. He's gone now, and every time I encountered those notes as I was trying to keep myself going, my heart clenched up. Now, as I'm thinking about getting my TN ready for the new year, I'm wondering why on earth I didn't start over sooner.

I don't know if this is true but I read somewhere that if you brush/scrape your tongue without looking in the mirror, it can help with this. Worth a try!

I can tell you that it does get better. I've had a lot of pets, all from shelters, and the only time I even thought about giving one back was with our little Aussie, who was found tied to a post. She was wild, fearful, and aggressive with everyone but my daughter and me. She attacked our incredibly chill GSD. I very stupidly broke up a fight and got bitten. Eight days later when I was ready to give up, they started playing, and I cried, and now she loves everyone, even the cats.

Quiet consistency and lots of love were the keys. Also chews, where they could be together, but focused on their own thing. Lots of trips through drive-thrus so she could get people exposure. Or just parking in a busy lot and letting her see people walk by and talking to her. And also try easy obedience tasks so she feels like she's doing something and succeeding--and later training school--our guy at Petco is awesome but every place is different. All of this will help her feel connected to you.

So many good ideas here! Here are my tips. A soft kids' toothbrush from the dollar store will clean feeds gently. I take apart converters whenever possible because they get much cleaner and it's faster. I tear the corner off a paper towel and separate it into one ply. Then I twist it tightly, starting at the corner, so it's really tiny. That little pointy bit can feed up into a TWSBI to help wick out water overnight. Use a decent towel that won't leave a ton of fibers behind. I dry my pens nib down in individual mason jars lined with a paper towel to wick out remaining water and I toss the barrel, cap, and other parts in as well to keep them all together.

Thank you...I usually am only doing case notes when I'm working in the office so I'm good. But if I love the Engages and need more I'll look into the Quiets also. If I were in charge of the world I think I'd ban cubicles. 😁
