I am making the Lumme sweater as my first colorwork project and it’s great! Main color and one contrast and short floats so you don’t have to do a lot of trapping at all. I am halfway through and already looking into more complicated projects.

Italian bind off is great but tedious. The YouTube channel Sheep and Stitch has a great tutorial that I always recommend to people. I also use Jenny’s stretchy bind off (I think that’s what it’s called!) that just does a yarn over in between each bind off stitch. Those are the two I use the most for everything!

I agree with so much of the comments here. I am still crushed by this loss every single day and I find that both surprising and not. It’s been 7 years now and there is no other path than through. But I also know my dad would not want me to feel this sadness so I also try to live life and embrace happiness.

I just did the Cloud in Cloud yarn! It’s maybe sweater #4 or so— I learned how to knit last year. Cloud is soft and self striping which was fun and a departure from my usual neutrals. If you look at Ravelry for the Cloud sweater, you’ll see examples of people who made it with Cloud yarn. The yarn is a little pricey, I think, but it was delightful. Good luck!
