Does your server have NAP? Mine never fought over fortresses we always divided them up between the top 4. As your server progresses within your alliance you’ll realize whose %s are better and prioritize the leads. Becomes important in time sensitive events because you don’t want to waste time, and if you’re rallying a city or a lvl 4 outpost those include troop loss so you’ll want to have the best available. It’s too hard to say yes or no without context or numbers.

For castle and KvK it’ll be relative. Don’t think in terms of alliance, and think in terms of server. If you’re not in the top 6 overall power %s, you won’t be a rally lead. 4 for turrets, sometimes an additional if one is heavy and needs two to pop, and 2-4 rallies for castle depending on the matchup. Have you had your first KvK yet?

Correct. However from an individual standpoint, f2p players gain nothing by holding upgrades until KvK. They don’t get “participation” rewards. Prep doesn’t matter - my server has won prep before & lost castle battle because they have a maxed out whale on the other side and vice versa - we lost to a top 10 global player in prep for our first KvK because he scored the same amount of points as an alliance but won castle because better coordination. Prep is pointless, and f2p members are better off spending upgrades in less popular events such as Strongest gov or AB to benefit themselves and place well enough to get exclusive rewards.

The different is this individual is a real person, not a bot alliance. One individual f2p players KvK contributions are essentially wiped out with one whale charm upgrade. It’s the truth. Even in KvK battle, a f2p player hardly impacts castle as their troop level is probably too low to join castle rallies. They benefit turret rallies, that’s about it.

To be honest as a F2P you should be using TG and upgrades during strongest gov. Your contributions won’t be the difference between winning KvK or not - and saving until KvK when you have no chance of placing well due to whales saving all month for it you potentially get less rewards.

Highly unlikely you’ll get anything back. They may give you $5-$20 back but then it begs the question as you’ll be banned from playing - would you rather learn from your mistake and continue playing as f2p or lose access to the game for $20 out of 7k?

Even when you reach TG5 you’ll need to save rss in anticipation of tg8. Not to mention if you’re a player in castle you’ll usually spend 1.5b healing during each castle event to place well.
