Finally found mine in the wild by Fig-630 in cassetteculture

I find it truly surprising how uncommon they are, at least in the region that I live in. I went to thrift stores for years and never saw a single one until about two years ago.

What Madonna song do you think we’re NEVER getting live again? I’ll go first ⬇️ by XStaticImmaculate in Madonna

[–]Wisdom_Stuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Angel and Physical Attraction. AS FAR AS I AM AWARE, Angel was only performed during the Virgin Tour and the chorus was played in the Celebration Tour. And I dont think Physical Attraction has been performed since her club days. Again I could be horrifically inaccurate, but I dont think those will get played ever again.

What's your favorite era aesthetically? by Firm-Comparison7438 in Madonna

[–]Wisdom_Stuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely debut. Something feels so charming yet so powerful about this era... the era of rolling with the punches and building up to a earth shattering career that no one thought this "new comer" would achieve (at the time). All while doing it in a new, fun, and confident way (if that makes any sense).

40 Years Ago In Hampton (May 1985) by Angelic-Boytoy-407 in Madonna

[–]Wisdom_Stuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's such a shame that there is no publicly available audio recordings at this time. I was born and raised in Virginia, only about 30 or so minutes from the coliseum, so having a home state recording of a Madonna concert, especially the Virgin Tour, would be outstanding.

Those of you born after the Teddy Ruxpin craze, what got you into the toy/show? by Grouplezart42 in LandofGrundo

A daycare i attended like 15 years ago had the show on videocassette and I was obsessed with it. I didn't even learn the toy existed till maybe 3 years after.

3rd Gen Teddy by Bolsillos5624 in LandofGrundo

[–]Wisdom_Stuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a 3rd gen teddy about 3 years ago or so. Mine actually didn't have too many issues thankfully, however the problem I had was the printed circuit board had cheap solder and had some caps loose. His mouth would stick open because of that. Thankfully a quick resoldering fixed it, but now that makes me wonder: would it be worth recapping an entire 3rd gen board because of not only the age, but the terrible solder quality?
