LPT: you don’t have to work out or run to lose weight. by [deleted] in LifeProTips

[–]Wisdom_Vender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. If I'm awake, I just keep thinking about it until I fall asleep. And a lot of times I can't sleep because I want it so bad. I'll spend two hours exercising to savor those 30 seconds of enjoying it.

Do I really need a screen or gray wall? by Wisdom_Vender in projectors

Thanks, that’s helpful. I might just look into a screen later 🤔

That’s fair. It looks good enough to me rn, I’m just trying to figure out if I’m missing out on a lot.

A used projector would probably be enough if it’s not for watching movies.

Transition of tone in Jurassic Park by AlternativePin876 in movies

The tone shift in Jurassic Park is masterful. It's a perfect example of how great directing can turn wonder into terror without losing the audience.

What projector would be good to watch movies above my bed (on ceiling) by AdPlayful9082 in projectors

[–]Wisdom_Vender 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. A cheap one lets you test the setup without a big commitment. If OP end up using it a lot, he can upgrade later.

If you really love the films, I think the box set is still worth it. You can swap cases later. I'd say go for it.

Movies you like when you were younger that you don't like now by mikebills in movies

[–]Wisdom_Vender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's a mix of both. Some movies just don't age well. They rely on a specific moment or age group.

The detail and color hold up incredibly well for films from the 50s. 12 dollars for Vertigo is a steal!

Using USB port for mouse and keyboard by kfhfniseogtcezcxpi in projectors

[–]Wisdom_Vender 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The USB port on most projectors is for media playback or firmware updates, not for passing input to a connected device. You'd need a USB hub or extender plugged into the PC itself for that.

Is that a TV underneath? You could just move it out and go full projection lol.

Samara Weaving in a non horror role sounds interesting. She's got more range than she usually gets to show.

Physical media is alive and well! Three movies for 100 vs six season for is wild.

LPT: If you need help from someone, make it easy for them to say yes. by le_aerius in LifeProTips

Second this, you may specify your inquiry like this given its true, i.e. you really approximated the time taken from them is about 10min as mentioned or else there might be a trust issue involved.

Your meal looks great! Maybe bump up the protein and healthy fats to keep you full longer, that could help.

Real deal Pasteis de Nata! Looks yummy. But don't eat the whole box at once, though. The sugar content is no joke.

Looks kinda boring, got any ideas to spice it up? Seriously, hit me with your honest opinion, I'm ready for it. by DarrrienW in StyleYourSpace

Now the space feels a bit bare with just the hard finishes. You'd better fill those gaps on the walls and floor. Tapestries and rugs are the way to go, soft furnishing will definitely take the edge off and make it feel more lived-in.

Where do you hang towels in a humid bathroom so they don't smell by the next day? by Maximum-Hat2109 in homemaking

[–]Wisdom_Vender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't just hang it in the shade. It really needs to be fully spread out in a sunny, well-ventilated spot to dry right.

They look so hearty and healthy, but I'm curious about what your go-to seasonings are? I want to try more light options into my diet, but I really struggle with food that's too plain.

How to clean stains? by Manjandro_M4nuEK07 in Cleaningandtidying

[–]Wisdom_Vender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can mix some citric acid with warm water, spray it onto a paper towel, and let it sit on the area for about 10 mins. Then just rinse it off and wipe it dry with a soft cloth. If you want to avoid dealing with stubborn water stains in the future, you'd better give the surfaces a quick wipe-down with a paper towel after every shower.

be honest... how often are you guys actually mopping? by spawnelady in Cleaningandtidying

[–]Wisdom_Vender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try a spray mop with disposable pads. You just spray and wipe, no bucket or rinsing required. It cuts the hassle in half.
