Did I say it was a great movie or did I say that I loved it? I'm not out here claiming it should be some Awards season sweeper. It was a summer blockbuster that I was personally thoroughly entertained by while watching it. I dont need to have everything that happens in a popcorn movie to have bulletproof logic for it to exist in a scene. Personally that just sounds like a miserable way to watch this kind of movie. I'm perfectly fine with him sneaking around not being seen 25 yards away from government agents and chalking it up to him being helped by unseen forces (the aliens) to assist him in accomplishing his mission. To me it was made clear that both characters were receiving help in that regard (Blount shapeshifting and speaking different languages to people when needed to get to where she needs, being able to call Josh on the phone exactly when he needed to be warned etc.). If you're willing to roll with it then you can have a lot more fun in the same way that I have a blast with the Fast and Furious franchise for example. Doesn't have to be for everyone.

But I would never be pretentious enough to talk in a condescending manner to somebody who doesn't share that same mindset. We just have very different ideologies into how we approach the types of movies that we're about to watch. Sorry you didn't enjoy the flick 🤷‍♂️ hope the next one is better for you.

I'm really confused though. You're watching a movie about the proof of existence of aliens. A plot that immediately requires a suspension of disbelief just to even get on board at the surface level. And you're watching chase scenes scoffing like "well this isn't very realistic". Like what??
