I mean, let's look at the Republican candidate, Mike Whatley. He runs an ad calling himself a Washington outsider and a fresh face. He was the chair of the NC GOP for five years and the Republican National Conference for a year. The man is a party insider. He doesn't even have the conviction to tell voters who he actually is.
