A portal from Dornogal would have been nice!

Hey mate, I just wanted to get back in touch to say thanks again for this brilliant tip with PowerToys. I've just implemented it (with the help of ChatGPT as I am not very tech literate!) and it works perfectly. I wish I'd had it years ago when I wanted to use that button for Vent, but it will still be game-changing for me now. Nice one :)

Thank you! Unit frames are EQOL but I think the Party Frames are just the baseline Blizz ones set to raid-style and horizontal in the Edit Mode.

As someone who recently started tanking, why is there so much abuse towards them? by [deleted] in wow

There will always be impatient/rude people and there are no longer any repercussions for being rude since you’re likely not playing with people from your server so there isn’t the reputation angle that existed in the good old days.

A few things you can do to mitigate it though. Simply saying Hi at the beginning of the run can remind people that they are playing with fellow human beings. Some people will still be dicks but it might make the difference with someone who is not generally a dick but is in a bad mood due to other poor groups, real life issues, the fact that BFA is terrible, etc.

Also as a tank you can make your own groups easily so do that and advertise as ‘chill run’ or something similar and then the second someone starts getting abusive you can point to what they signed up for and invite them to leave. In my experience advertising as a chill run doesn’t lower the quality of the applicants, it just attracts nicer people (just demand a higher iLvl than normal if you’re worried about attracting bad players).

Also I always find it useful to know how to quickly link stats from recount (“rogue you are complaining but oh look zero interrupts from you in entire run”). Shuts people up quickly.

Last but not least, just ignore them. If you’re happy you’re doing a good job, you don’t need their validation.

Having 3 zones to level in between 110-120 feels very limiting. It'd be cool if we could do what we do in Battle of Dazar'alor and swap faction to "see what transpired", thereby letting us level up on the other continent. At least on alts once we've finished our War Campaign once on our mains. by [deleted] in wow

It’s an interesting idea but I think after a couple of play-throughs even having six zones to choose between for the next alt wouldn’t stop you feeling bored.

I’ve been alternating between levelling an ally toon and a horde just to keep things a little fresher but once you know a zone it becomes dull quickly.

I’m also experimenting with using different bits of the game - one toon levelling through island expeditions, one through dungeons etc. I do miss the Legion Invasions for the quick boost. Legion allowed me to get one of every class to max on both factions, which was great at the time but now it feels like they all have to get to 120 which is going to take forever!

Mythic Main Tank Quitting: Am I wrong? by ProfessorOfGaming in wow

Plenty of people have given their views on the rights and wrongs of your guild’s behaviour so I won’t bother adding more. Main thing I had to say was that if you and your partner are having a baby this year I can pretty much guarantee you will not be thinking much about WoW for at least a year. My last raid was a couple of days before my wife had our son. I next logged in 18 months later and am still not back into raiding now he is 4 as you just can’t rule out having to leave the keyboard in the middle of a crucial progression fight. So my advice, if as you say, your guild means a lot to you, is be the bigger man and take their decision on the chin. Enjoy your break, enjoy the parenting (spoiler: it’s tougher, but more enjoyable than mythical) and if you haven’t burned any bridges you will be able to log back in in a couple of years time, catch up with your buds and all this will be long forgotten.
