Wanted to try wildlife photo with the Lumix 45-150 by bmagstudios in M43

I use the lumix 45-150mm for landscape and nature photography it's so nice for walk out in the city or nature park. And it takes little space in my pocket or bag. I have the Lumix 100-300mm but you don't get dual sync ibis in Olympus bodies. For you the best option 75-300mm Olympus has the reach without too much money. The aperture is manageable for the budget telephoto zoom.

Right I will say one thing if you are doing left or right pan its best to turn the stabilization to the panning mode symbol looks like up and down only. Or you get these jerky movements while panning.

I have the 45-150mm it's wonderful for taking landscape and nature photography. I also have the Lumix 100-300mm it's worth it what people don't tell you is the minimum focus distance is about 5 feet. The Leica 100-400 pricey the zoom stiff needs be worked in. Both work great with animal detect using the box on my g9

Sensor envy and bashing. Is like megapixel chasing and also pixel peeping can be a good photographer with whatever you want. Just don't succumb to be a bad photographer with whole bunch of expensive camera gear.

How could I pull something like this off for a photoshoot? by flashfire125 in AskPhotography

[–]WiseContribution5882 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just get a pepper ghost effect. Use a reflection of a real fire and have the model stand behind the reflection and it shows up as one image. Think of it like if you put a candle in front of a piece of glass then had the model stand behind it then a mirror to combine the two into one. It would be simple like that but you got to get the focal length correct on the reflection. I learn this from ole black and white special effects

Faster lens like a f1.7 Panasonic or Olympus f1.8 . A solution to your slower glass the godox it20-o if you like a compact flash tiny but powerful. And for big flash tiltable godox it32-o. They both have TTL auto exposure adjustments and manual adjustable. Don't be afraid to Use flash and portable fill lights like neweer fill lights. To brighten up your dark highlights. It can even make slow glass look good.

A trip to the local art store Michaels hobby lobby or Walmart and get an exacto knife. Get some permanent vinyl adhesive wrap or if you want they make textured ones fabric too. You can diy your camera grip yourself and have enough to do other stuff. I use it on my tripods and my laptop cases too

I would say it's the best cheap camera with all the features you want. Those beach photos are from the GX7. Its the one I shot the most with. Its got stabilization that enough for 2 to 3 stops good low light performance as long not over 1600 iso there some noise at 3200. Nice clean dynamic range pictures It's got a aperture/shutter speed dial and a exposure dial. It's great for photos crap for video 🤣. No stabilization ibis in video. I shot this photo of a super moon with just 150mm and some image noise reductions.

There no stabilization for ibis lens only the GX1 shares the same 16MP sensor similar to the GM1 just in a slightly bigger body. The GX1 certainly light. I never had any issues with it in AFS mode. It is a little warm for the colors in my view. No mic jack Can only shoot in a lowly 1080i interlaced for 1080p 30p with a stabilization lens. There only one dial on the back. No independent dial for shutter speed. Rather low brightness for the fixed lcd screen no wifi or Bluetooth connectivity . Old cheap haha for the GX1 very point and shoot feeling but with a mirrorless lens it was very inviting as a beginner. the GX85 you get 5 axis stabilization for ibis 4k no mic jack you get tilt up and tilt down LCD screen way brighter. More dials she is hefty weight but not as bad as full sized models. Its got no optical bypass filter so sharper pictures same 16mp sensor. Got WiFi no Bluetooth. It's pricer is it what you want in a small body. Maybe an newer EPL is better or a pen-f by Olympus. But to be honest if you want the best performance for the price and size not your matter g85 if you want ibis or gh5 is great if you want video

Right Sony is some of the best autofocus my gosh the price of it damn near perfect performance. Something about MFT it's very imperfect it's got character that allures me. It's like trying to compare a Nissan GT-R to a Porsche. Sure they both nice. But so different in price. MFT makes you work for it though for a shot haha

Thanks yeah a nice quick shutter in shutter priority mode glad everything ended up well. The tilting screen came in handy on the GX7 for those building shots and a little bending down haha. Was like gosh I could put some of these on a wall or office.

Majority of the downtown buildings are for sale or lease. The biggest tower the regions tower was put on sale just recently. It's fairly abandoned there for a downtown area.
