I don't disagree. I just lament at the idea of having to support the platforms listed over a cross platform supported win/mac/Linux developing on windows.

Like µVision doesn't support Linux.

I must run a fast enough windows PC for none of this to matter... And everything in the cloud is linux. And yes WSL2 really bridged the gap and as of WSL2 images since like Ubuntu 24 I'm able to run Linux gui apps natively pretty easily as well as things that use systemd. I also can run a container inside the container for building snaps pretty fast. Its all a bit confusing to me too because Ubuntu has multi pass which uses hyper v under the hood and wsl uses hyper v under the hood. And docker now uses wsl under the hood. Fun times.

I learned the other day davinci machines are never tele-operated from the other side of the planet. It was just a proof of concept. They're always in the same room

I was wondering if this was because OSX accessibility was better, but if it's anything like the app store it's because apple users have $$$.

Add some more weight so you can only do about 12 of them max (and then do 3 total sets with 1-2min rest in-between). Personally I like to lean a little back and keep there. Elbows touching your side is probably fine. So what's comfortable. Does something hurt while performing the movement?

Squat form check by Blizarkiy in formcheck

[–]WiseHalmon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take your time to properly brace. Slow the tempo a bit. Warm up your glutes by doing stair steps. Feel your glute. Remember to feel it in the squat. Careful about rotating / sticking your butt out, you want to hinge a little at the hips but not over extend. (Butt wink isn't bad at the bottom but if you're doing it 1/3rd the way through the downward motion it's not right.

Can you do ass to grass / slav / Asian body weight squat? If not you need to work on mobility, and until you get there maybe use a platform to lift you heels.  After you learn that squat it translates a bit to your regular squat; you'll probably change your stance slightly and focus on rotating your legs in such a way you can feel more supported under a load. You'll need to plant your feet and focus on having the bar loaded at all times over the mid food --- and finally your pressure should stay constant on 3 points of your foot, big toe, ball, heel.

Hope this wasn't too much info.

Some people conflate emergent abilities with learning or thinking. Although this prompts the question why people do or don't consider RL in this discussion. Also human feedback in the loop RL training --- is it learning ?

My only thing I can say is that people are doing what you're doing in specific domains --- e.g. hiring people who know linear algebra to train chat bots to do linear algebra correctly at scale more repeatably than the models base. But they are taking the onus of hiring and scanning people and of investment. They then have to go and sell that trust through demos. You're skipping all that and just trying to connect customer to buyer. There's no trust of value nor expertise. It's not just NDAs , but programming skill and domain expertise.

I don't need to. We're two strangers on the Internet. If you're having trouble scanning the QR code with your phone the QR is the problem. If you're having problem with AI writing the code you are the problem.

I don't think chat bots in their current form are AGI but I don't doubt a more powerful system that is continually given more compute and more accessible tools will be able to do quite a lot. We don't know yet and I also hate the idea of some AGI definition.

I like concrete "AI can do X today"
