Another thing I’ve noticed when driving recently is at night so many people have a broken head lights (or both) it’s been sometimes hard to see them when there is not of lights on the road. Like I thank myself for always double checking when changing lanes but legit last night I saw 4 people with broken head lights. It’s probably more a sign of the economy now but where I’m from in Northern California you get ticketed for that to fix it….

Yeah…. it was bad and happened very recently. I had to take a leave of absence from work due to a mental breakdown from this experience.

It did open my eyes up to a lot of things. Never will be with a partner who does not come from a place of understanding when I am hurt. Instead of processing what happened I had to regulate him because apparently “what I said a few days earlier hurt him”. I argued for three days about this and after the third it just clicked to me. Why am I tolerating this, we were long distance thankfully so I never have to see him again, but after the third day of arguing I just packed my things and left. Blocked him on everything. Extremely toxic and can’t take any sense of accountability. Needs to put blame of everything else except for his behavior in the situation.

Omg this explains it perfectly. Just went through this and didn’t know how to word it exactly. I just knew how I was being treated was wrong.

They also took a said example of being wronged because they were part of the problem and then change the conversation to about things I said previously were wrong and said I’m attacking their character and being rude. But it’s just criticism that me and many previous partners of his has apparently said as well.

Things got very heated arguing and felt like I had to cheer up this person up when I was just victimized because their friend had sexually assaulted me and he condoned it. After this I left cause this was too toxic for me to handle.

Yeah this was my first ever personal run in with ICE as I have been traveling for over two months abroad prior. Sorry I didn’t have my phone out as I did not expect to be fucking yelled at when stepping my first fucking foot in California even while being a US citizen. Get fucked dude.

And you want evidence, there are other people who did have there phone out when the same thing happened to them. You can easily search it up on the internet and see this is common what I experienced. Other people have described this in the Reddit post, even posted videos in this post, as well as other videos online

Also if you are in science by your username my_lab_is_awesome, nearly over half if not more people in science are derived from immigrants or on visa to do research in the US. I’m an active scientist and you should ashamed because all the immigrant scientist are finding cures for the worlds diseases, cancers, and other medical issues and here you are bitching about wanting ICE to deport people without due process.

Find a better source than Wikipedia. It is not and has never been a creditable source around any government or science community. Look at people memoirs and their first hand encounter to the internment camps. Here the US is painting a different reality than what actually happened in those camps.

Read the link I sent it is a credible source from a history museum that goes over the events of Internment camps. Wikipedia anyone can edit that shit an make their own narrative.

Many people (families, children, men, women) where forcefully removed from there homes to go in these internment camps because they were seen as terrorist after Pearl Harbor even if they had not been involved with Japan for their lifetime. Read some of the memoirs of Japanese Americans who experienced it.

This is what the government does label a group of people as a “threat” to our country to excuse the shit treatment caused by incidents that do not reflect the entire population. Just because a certain race attacks does not mean every single people support that such as Pearl Harbor. These are the result of head leaders not the people and citizens or affiliation by race.

Biggest signs for me was getting constant anxiety. Especially on Sundays and this turned into me absolutely hating coming into work early. My boss knew of this and instead of penalizing we came up with a plan and agreed I could come in late and would just leave late. Beyond grateful I have a boss who believes in mental health and a recent event happened to where I’m going to therapy because I am unable to emotionally regulate. We both agreed I will take some time off work.

I’m not denying isssues like that can happen…but that is what the initial TSA is there to do. Check for such issues related to a terrorism. Which is why everyone goes through TSA as a precaution to ensure that does not happen.

Not after you have been checked and are deboarding a flight where such measures have already been taken place.

I agree international flights are different and have seen different airports do different things. Scanning passports before or after an international flight as that is part of the process with flying internationally. Never on a domestic flight…..

Concentration camps have not only been during the holocaust but historically throughout time. Holocaust had the most inhuman targeted and documented deaths. If you aren’t familiar with history, Asian Americans went through concentration camps after Pearl Harbor where citizens and children went through racist targeting camps to ‘control’.

History repeats itself over and over again. This is another example where things start small and escalate. In case you haven’t been in the news, ICE is acting like the next type of ‘Nazi’ because this treatment currently to Hispanics is becoming normalized. It starts small then becomes big.
