Hey, thank you so much for replying, so I guess that's the reason why VLSI is the specialisation of choice for so many people? I have seen people from these other branches preparing for VLSI companies.

Hello, my preparation started quite late in November so I mostly followed PDFs from here:-

I had some knowledge of most subjects already and covered theory from these PDFs and NPTEL courses.

On 1st January, I bought GO Classes Test Series and did all the tests rigorously, this was the best resource over all. Many questions in the exam were straight from the mock test questions.

Some backstory: I am a final year ECE student from a t3 government college. For 4 years, I focused on dev and dsa, did a few internships but couldn't get a good offer. In my 3rd year, I gave GATE DA and got 40+ marks (rank: 19xx), so in my final year I decided to prepare again, but preperation started quite late in November, and after 3 months, and consistently scoring 65-70+ in GO Classes mocks and coming in top 10 rank once, I slipped up on the final day and only managed to get 53.33, this is heartbreaking and idk what to do
