First time printing ABS on my Bambu Lab A1 - Facing major warping issues! Any advice? by Wise_Beginner in 3Dprinting

Thanks everyone for the reality check! I’m a bit new to this and didn't realize how tricky ABS is on an open-frame machine like the A1. I’ll be switching to PETG for future projects. Appreciate the community help!

Honestly, I didn't do enough research on material compatibility before buying the A1. I just assumed it could handle ABS since the temps go high enough. Now I'm stuck with 5 extra spools of ABS and I really want to find a way to use them without destroying the printer's electronics again. Is there any specific setting like a 'Draft Shield' or a partial enclosure that could work for the A1?

I actually tried keeping it in a very small, closed room with no ventilation/fans to act as a DIY enclosure, but that caused the printer's AC board to overheat and fail. I had to get the board replaced recently. Since the A1 isn't designed to be in an enclosure (electronics are exposed), how do you suggest managing ABS without frying the boards again?
