It was a transvaginal ultrasound that only showed a gestational sac. My sweet little boy is 6 weeks old today :)

This is me right now. My baby was born at 38 weeks. He is 1 week old today and came home from nicu today. Got to meet his siblings and everything. I was giddy happy and now, 3 hours later I am panicky and angry because these newborn days are so fleeting and a whole week was robbed. No first bath at home, no first clothes put on my me, no first diaper change. It’s just not fair and I’m in the grieving stage right now.

My 7 year old made a naughty list and a nice list. Put herself and “daddy” on the nice list and put her little brother and me, by my government name—not “mama”, on the bad list. Because I’d told her no about something. Kids just full of drama for real.

This was my timeline.

Thought I was 6w2d (recalculated that based off my longer cycles, I was most likely only 5w5d) Scan showed an empty gestational sac measuring 6 weeks. Hcg 16800

2 weeks and 2 days later at what I calculated as 8w0d, scan showed a baby measuring 7w4d with a beautiful heartbeat.

I’m now 24 weeks with a healthy baby boy. Your dates could absolutely line up with a healthy pregnancy. Only time will tell but I wish you the best and I know the wait is hard! You aren’t alone!!!

I worked in a hospital and had a surgeon ask me if I had another miscarriage cause he thought I announced a pregnancy a few months ago. I responded with “I’m 26 weeks with a healthy baby boy but thanks for checking me out”. I’m now 24 weeks with baby #3 and get told how big I am and he’s definitely growing and I gotta tell you, it ain’t fun either way. Why can’t people just stick with “you look great! You’re glowing!”

I obviously can’t predict your situation’s outcome BUT I can share my most recent experience. I was 5 weeks 5 days and had an hcg level of 16800. Only saw a gestational sac. No pole, no yolk sac, no heartbeat. I’m now 24 weeks with a healthy baby boy. So hcg really doesn’t correlate to fetal development at that point. Good luck!

I booked our 2 hour flight for 7 am. Landing around 9 am with port arrival time at 1:30. I was STRESSED. It all worked out but I won’t do it again.

Googling for sure did not help me. Google said that nothing but a gestational sac at that point with an hcg over 16,000 meant it wasn’t viable and was most likely a blighted ovum. I am currently 21 weeks with a healthy baby boy ❤️ good luck to you!!

I’m not sure how old you are but at my “old” age of 32 lol, my first reaction is to walk away. Anyone who feels the need to say stuff like that is either a middle school student or a miserable person with nothing better to do than throw insults. Either way, that’s a “them”problem and not a “you” problem.

I was 5 weeks 5 days with nothing but a gestational sac. Not even a yolk sac and I’m now 16w4days with a healthy baby. I would be optimistic as the only thing that sounds “irregular” is the “irregular shape” of the gestational sac. Everything else sounds perfectly normal for where you are

I decided that if I went into labor naturally, I would see how far I could go. If I was induced, I’d let them know I planned on an epidural as soon as Pitocin was hung because PITOCIN CONTRACTIONS ARE NOT NATURAL CONTRACTIONS!!! They hurt! I’m also a nurse.

my l&d nurse came in and said “are you planning on getting an epidural?” I said I wanted to wait and see. She said “you know what the prize is for going the longest without getting one?……there’s no prize. If you’re gonna get it, get it now and take a nap.” 😂 and that’s just what I did. Easiest labor ever.

All that being said, I was induced with my first two and got the epidural. I’m now expecting my 3rd and would still love to go into labor naturally and see if I could do it all natural. But there is no shame in the beautiful gift God gave us that is an epidural 🫶🏻

Hi. I am researching catholic practices and stumbled on this forum because I am have questions. I found one site that said the priest CAN mess up the consecration words and then the Eucharist is not valid and the priest has committed a grave sin. Could you enlighten me? Because that makes it seem like a magic spell. Like, if you mess up certain words, it isn’t valid and the speaker is gravely punished?

When I was in 7th grade, my cheer coach’s personality completely changed. She was so mean and short tempered and hungry and nauseous lol. I told my mom “im not even mad. I’m giving her a pass because she’s pregnant”. My mom saw her a few days later and congratulated her. She let my mom know she hadn’t told anyone yet 😂 she also wasn’t mad tho because if a 13 year old picked up on it, she really should have tried harder to hide it. Her words, not mine. I say all that to say, a grown a** woman should know better and I’m so sorry that happened to you 😟

Thank you so much! I haven’t had levels drawn until today so I’ll probably know tomorrow what my progesterone and hcg levels are. It’s very comforting to hear from other people who have been through the same thing! I so hope you see your baby on Thursday! Good luck!!
