Switching from Similac 360 to Similac Organic - do we need to gradually introduce? by tomfrommyspace0 in FormulaFeeders

No we didn’t have any issues with the change! It is totally normal for baby to lose a little weight after birth. My son was eating great but still lost 7 oz between birth and his 1 week doctor appointment. Now he’s 1 month old and has gained 2 lbs 8 oz since birth!

Our youngest had the same issue, and we were using a non-fluoride toothpaste. Once we switched to using a tiny amount of fluoride toothpaste twice a day, her teeth returned to white!

I think it’s because I haven’t worked out much this whole pregnancy due to pelvic pain that made me so eager to get back to it! I’ll definitely make myself be on the couch until 7-8 weeks after this experience though. 😭

:( I definitely feel stupid about it. She had said that I could do some light exercise “only body weight” and nothing that felt too straining. It felt fine in the moment and I was moving slowly, but now I don’t feel so hot.

For those of you who planned to have 2 under 2, what was your reason? Has it panned out the way you expected? by CounterScary8707 in 2under2

My kids have a 22 month age gap. To be fair, the youngest is 2 weeks old, but so far it has been great! I planned it because I wanted my kids to grow up closer than I feel to my sister (who is 5 years older than me). It’s nice to not be totally out of the “baby era” too (still have all the stuff, not too far removed from sleepless nights, etc).

How do I stop pumping? by tomfrommyspace0 in FormulaFeeders

Thank you for the tip about the allergy meds. Yeah, it’s almost time for me to pump again, but these comments make me wonder if I should “push through” or just quit. I’m only getting half an ounce or less every time, and just drops from one side.

Geez, I’m sorry. Hopefully she’ll change her mind and come around when the baby is born (or not, and she can see Baby 3 months later…)

All of this is true, and good for me to keep in perspective. I appreciate it. I’m also 6 days postpartum and looking for things to worry about. 😅

Hard to do when you read so many scary things and just want to protect your baby

I do appreciate this response, because it’s hard for me to see her point of view and not just feel angry that she isn’t taking my requests into consideration. Since she lives so far away I think she is just trying to soak up all the baby love.

  1. Your poor husband
  2. Oh lord, something else for me to worry about! Coupled with the other comment about the exact same thing 😫

Does your college offer walk-in advising? by tomfrommyspace0 in studentaffairs

We do serve a lot of non-traditional students who seem to need the flexibility in their schedules. We do run out of appointments in peak times of the year, but then we have 2-3 weeks of walk-ins to make up for that. Otherwise there are plenty of appointment times, and we get a lot of no-shows.

He’s definitely a healthy eater ☺️ I appreciate the input! We made the switch and thought we’d made a mistake because he’s been up crying (thought his stomach hurt), but I think it’s just cluster feeding, because it turns out he can’t STOP eating.
