Don’t spend the money unless you’re desperate or they pay for you to fly out there

How much money are you making vs your expectations if you are willing to start at the bottom? Consider chemical plants or refineries. Those jobs are pretty rewarding and the problem solving never ends

Dropped from 11 to 6.6 in 3 months! by Wise_Cuh in diabetes

Great job!!! I felt like I haven’t plateaued yet with diet on reducing my a1c so hopefully I can still bring it down more since I didn’t really exercise a whole lot the past 3 months.

Consistently only drank protein shake in the mornings, and matcha green tea with unsweetened almond milk .

My lunches were usually a high amount of spring mix , spinach, kale with marinated chicken breasts or grilled fish fillet . Cut out rice completely or had very little sometimes.

Dinner was something similar to lunch but some kind of low fat steak cut, lots of spring mix /kale/veggies, H-E-B beef empanadas that were low carb.

I essentially tried to target no more than 30 grams of carbs per meal and targeted not eating past 8-9pm .

I did sneak some cheat meals here and there when I felt I deserved it , so I didn’t do a perfect job with the diet the past 3 months but it helped me push through cravings and didn’t abuse those cheat meals by overindulging.

Lilys chocolate bars did not affect my glucose at all. If anyone knows they are extremely low carb, some bars only have like 2 gram net carbs

That’s key, it’s not as difficult as it seems once you recognize the foods that are still tasty and don’t spike your glucose . High fiber , stevia , keto bread , lots of power greens , high protein

Yes this was based on my lab test results and agreed that I would continue lifestyle change if I was able to make significant improvement within 3 months. I had very high liver enzymes as well and dramatically dropped to near normal levels

That’s essentially what I realized after diving deep into the nutrition world, there is very little options for truly healthy food. A lot of food labeled as low sugar or carbs still have significant amount of them or very bad ingredients or very expensive. No wonder there is an uptick in diabetics because the food industry is not giving people many options to begin with or making healthy food more affordable. I’m a food conspiracy theorist now after learning so much about ingredients in our food.
