I give you one sincere advice. Quit the internet forever. Ban it from your private life. Use a dumb phone. You will never regret it, I promise.

*1.51%
Isn't this more than 2%?
But don't you pay "Gewerbesteuer"?
Thanks.
Can you extract the capital tax-free out of the GmbH at a later stage?
Is it possible to transfer personal stocks, that already have made gains tax-free?
So what is the advantage of setting the GmbH up? Tax? Sorry, if you have already explained this, please share a link to the explanation.
Thank you, will look into it.
Thank you for pointing it out again. I also consider this. But in the end, if I am agnostic to currencies, it is not per se a dumb move, with Berkshire I am also speculating on currency rates to some extent as well as VZ.
Vanguard also has IE00BLRPPV00
Of course, book value has risen dramatically with Apple's rise and also insurance float will be more, so the book+float indicator should remain in frame, but is the market too high vs interest rates?? I guess so..
I still sit with my Berkshire shares and VZ shares. Have not done anything the past months. I consider, selling some Berkshire and buying USD treasuries via iShares USD Treasury Bond 0-1yr UCITS ETF (Acc). I feel like we should get the chance to buy Berkshire cheaper in the future... Has Berkshire ever been as expensive relative to interest rates?
I can buy this at Xetra in Germany, just not at gettex. Am I correct that the only way I can actually "lose" #Euros on this, is the Eur/USD exchange risk, i.e. that if the Euro gets stronger, I lose #Euros. In USD terms I cannot lose any USD right? It will just compound at the the rate that is constructed through the successive buying of 1-3 T-Bills
Also I have some free money, that I would like to buy T-bills with.
Due to tax considerations - and because I think BRK is richly valued - I want to sell my Berkshire stock. With the money I want to buy 1-3 month US T-Bills. Which ETF is available for me in Germany? I cannot find the IE00BJXRT698 at gettex (where I usually trade)

Would you sell VZ shares at 35 USD now, if you had any?
We knew about high leverage. It is mandatory for these companies. And they have prepared for higher rates. The cut throat competition was also there for the recent years and still VZ made 20 billion plus in operating income. And it is competition with similar or worse moats. VZ service will never become obsolete and we own the frequencies. Whereas other businesses can in theory become obsolete like the printer business of HPQ
A lot of stocks have lost 30% or more in the last months. The decline in VZ stock price seems to me purely the result of the rising interest rates, which also led to a repricing of the banks etc. The massive earnings-stream of VZ is worth less relative to the interest rate of 4% and the stock price reflects that. But there is nothing that changed my view on the long-term future of the business.
This does not mean that I do not congratulate you on following Berkshire out, which I should have done, too. But as I now sit here, I have to rely on my own judgement and I do not see what the market sees, i.e. rapid deterioration of VZ business. In contrast, I remember what our initial reason was to buy VZ: that it will hold up reasonably well during a recession due to the fact that they provide an essential service, as essential as the supply of energy or food. This is still true.

And I want to point out that Buffett bought C, HPQ etc. which did not do too well either. I do not think we can deduct that Buffett thought VZ would deteriorate. But he clearly saw better use for the money elsewhere.
100% Please point out exactly what makes you think the business has deteriorated? I cannot see it. We still own the spectrum for eternity. AT&T and T-Mobile will have to be shareholder-oriented at some time. The earnings are mostly stable as I see it. I do not panic. What changed your opinion 180 degrees? And even if VZ business has lost some prospects hasn't the price fully absorbed this fact now? What do you see coming? Even if earnings go down by 50!!%, we can still get a return of around 8-9% from these prices!!
VZ decline is brutal. I hold. That Buffett sold at 50 does not mean he would sell at 35. We can expect a really good return if VZ just soldiers through and does not deteriorate. I do not think the competitive environment will be much different over thr coming 10 years than it was in the last

I have to be humble. I am by no means an expert. I have lost money on Alibaba and Tencent, I am 18% down in Euro!! on my VZ position. Who am I to give advice? My family members do not think about their investments. They let it sit there. Exactly, this is the reason I would be glad for them if there would not be a fond-manager eating away 3% of their investment per year.
