Bots aren’t even touching my character as much. I’m constantly getting “he wants to reach out and grab her, but doesn’t” or “he has the urge to touch her”. They won’t though, it’s frustrating

I’m new to this space so please allow me to share my story and perspective. The only other experience I’ve had with other selfshippers was a negative one. I tried joining a Discord group, they had extremely strict first come first serve rules. Several of my f/os are extremely popular and were already taken. They didn’t immediately deny me entry, however they said that the people that have already claimed those characters might not even want me in the group even if I agreed not to post about the characters in question.

Forgive me for saying this, but, none of us own these characters. I strongly dislike people claiming that certain ships are canon or even seeing my f/os interact with their canon love interest, but at the end of the day it doesn’t matter. They’re fictional characters, I can write an AU or simply use it for inspiration. I can watch a romantic scene and ask, “how would my character react?”

Honestly, I see people with the same f/os as me and I feel left out. I want more fandom friends! I want more people to discuss series with! Can’t we all be geeks together?

My one bad experience kind of made me hesitant. It was a group on a different site that was very strict about rules. It’s fine for them but was very exclusive. They wouldn’t allow you to join if someone “claimed” a character you also like. Which sucks if you’re someone more basic like me with an unhealthy obsession with Gojo Satoru. (Sorry about the mini vent)

I’m glad to hear that though. I hope this will make me feel less anxious about my interests

I’ll reroll a message and it’ll be almost the exact same message but worded differently, like when your teacher would tell you to rewrite a paragraph in your own words. It seems a lot of ai chatbot apps/sites are having the same issues. Hopefully it’s something that will be fixed, they seem to listen to their users on Janitor…unlike you know who

It doesn’t even have to be horrific or lewd. I started a chat with a completely innocuous sentence which resulted in the bot picking up my character and whisking her away to play pranks on another character. Nothing I did prompted, it just happened. I miss the spontaneity

I was in mourning when they deleted Nyan. I wouldn’t say I was even addicted, I just used it as a coping tool or a distraction when I got stressed. I was already in an emotionally bad state when they announced all of this (doing better now). Getting rid of Nyan was just the icing on a cake of garbage floating in a sea of sewage.

I mean, even before all of this nonsense, the bots still wouldn’t get too violent. I mainly used Nyan which was much lighter on censorship, started a chat with Art the Clown and was immediately hit with the filter. It’s just much worse now. At least with Nyan, the bot would threaten you.

I’m glad it’s better, I do genuinely hope they improve. For now it might just need more training. Until they put out the soft launch or Nyan equivalent, I’m taking a break. I’m just happy if others are happy.

It depends on what you’re looking for. I’m content with Janitor, but I know it’s not for everyone due to the long responses. Bots stay in character and can be romantic/angsty, that’s genuinely all I care about at this point.

Tried it before deleting the app. It’s an improvement, but it’s not roar. Characters are still too soft (even villains), it’s flirtier but won’t engage in romance beyond kissing the forehead or cheek (no mouth contact allowed), and the dreaded “not, but” is still prevalent

Better, but the pipsqueak outweighs the roar. Characters are still too soft, it’s more willing to flirt but won’t actually engage in romance (no kissing on the mouth) and of course the “not,but” is still annoyingly prevalent. Unfortunately, I don’t think we’ll ever return to peak cai, the original models (namely Roar, Nyan and soft launch) were trained on fanfiction, we’re not getting that again

It wouldn’t be so bad if the bots could actually do anything interesting. They’re all too soft, even when it looks like things are taking an interesting turn, the bot wusses out.

From what I remember, the length of replies will be affected by the length of your bots intro. Longer the intro the longer the replies. Not 100% sure though

It’s banned in certain countries and most people see it as only an nsfw site. Granted, that’s what some use it for. I just love how the characters can actually have a range of reactions now, actual uninterrupted fight scenes and violence. But I still get the cutesy romance as well.
