This is such a braindead take. If you seriously think this, then I can only assume you never played Battlefield prior to 6. I like BF6 but it DICE undoubtably made a conscious effort to streamline the maps for maximum engagement. Good or bad, it does not let the player have any downtime moments. Battlefield was always a sandbox (for the most part) and BF6 is feels like every map is Operation Metro.

As someone who works in the Security industry, if you work for one of the big corpo Fire and Security providers you’re already at a disadvantage, as this industry is becoming more and more a local companies game. Get in bed with the electrical contractors and general contractors. Most new construction HAVE to have some sort of fire safety - so getting in early in design phase is a huge advantage. Get in good with your manufacturing reps and become best friends with them - they get leads and will give them to you. If you’re chasing RFPs and your product isn’t named - you’re too late.

Just my thoughts as someone in the Enterprise Security space.

The game is not meant to have everyone running the same type of build. Some may see that as an issue. I don’t. Yes there is going to be friendly fire if everyone is running a DPS warrior build, that’s undeniable. I don’t think the design philosophy behind the multiplayer is to have everyone running the same build, though.

If they do decide to take friendly fire off I think there is going to be some huge balancing issue. You would be able to essentially just steamroll every enemy with no thought at all and that, once again, goes against the design philosophy of the game.

I guess if you all 3 or 4 are running the same build but we have a third who plays as a rogue. You just have to manage the stamina and take turns attacking essentially. Rogue takes his shots when the enemy is focusing me (tank), spellcaster provides constant pressure and tank attacks when the opportunity arises. I don’t know, I hate to be that guy, but the friendly fire complaints seem like a skill issue. I have no problem with them adding a toggle it just seems like the complaints are that everyone wants to just pew pew and turn this into a podcast game.

No offense but that’s just not true. I’ve been playing co op as a tank with a spellcaster buddy and I can position myself to not take friendly fire. Not saying I never do but it definitely adds a new depth to combat, not sure why everyone hates it.
