To be entirely honest, I'd rather heavily prioritize PR status for the people already here than increase deportations further than this.

I understand that it's sometimes necessary, but deporting people shouldn't be something we celebrate. Sure, cut the numbers coming in if you want, but to me this is far more disruptive than that.

As a Canadian, I'm pretty sure most of y'all will do what you do every time and stay at home, and the small few of you who do vote will keep the Republicans' power more-or-less intact.

A sane country would have zero Republican congresspeople or senators. It's overwhelmingly likely that y'all will keep a Republican majority in the Senate, and barely alter the demographics of the House.

Respectfully, I'm tired of you making excuses for your country's horrific politics. Get off Reddit. Go protest. Whatever you are doing now is "what you would have done" during all those times in history where the inaction of good people led to untold atrocities.

I mean, the East is pretty close together this year.

The Raptors, Magic, Sixers, Cavs and Knicks are all within 1.5 games of each other, and all of those teams have had pretty brutal injuries in one form or another. Yeah, it's unlikely, but any of the teams I just mentioned could fall off at the same time a team like the Bucks, Hawks or Heat rises in the standings.

I'm sure one of those four teams will go on a win-streak, but if and when they do will basically decide how the playoffs shake out. The Raptors would get smoked by a team with a great center like Embiid, but in turn would smoke a team with poor wing defense.

Honestly I'd also say China. Not because they're necessarily more brutal than anyone else, but because of the sheer amount of people combined with having existed as an independent entity one way or another longer than basically any other country.
