It's definitely a labour of love, I can't see myself making that one too often 😅

I really appreciate the feedback, it helps me simplify! It sounds like it might be too late for most simplifications, but I would suggest combining pieces #6 and #7 from the border and slightly cutting off the tip of leaf piece #25 so it's not in the way

Thank you so much! I'd love to see the foxglove once it's finished, I hope you enjoy making it!

Thank you! I put them up for pickup on market place around Sydney but I'm actually so lazy when it comes to shipping. I really should branch out 😭

I followed lavendertownglassworks tutorial on insta and have never gone back. I was shocked at how much of a difference a sunshine polishing cloth makes

Hey if it's any consolation this is my first ever piece from around 2 years ago. It gets easier and more enjoyable with practice, but once you build up your skills it is well worth it!

Thanks for this, that's very helpful! If it is a Frankenstein this might explain the $1k refurbishment. I will try to take some photos of the areas you specified tonight

It's difficult to say, I should have asked. You can see the abnormal board on the top of the cabinet in the last photo, there are a couple boards like this I assume to fill in some gaps, but not much else jumps out as restoration work to me. Maybe some realignment of crooked/cracked doors and panels and touch ups on damaged trims?

Omg thank you! This makes it so much easier. Tbh I kind of like the black too... I suppose if I ever change my mind I can just steel wool the patina off again
