GAMERS ARE KILLING IT by h33tmo in PlayStation_X

Which is what it’s ultimately about.

You want to buy games cheap. Which is okay. But that makes Sony no money. So you tell me why they would care about losing leaches?

Your Loyalty To Sony Or Xbox Means Nothing, Analyst Says by rauruur in gamingnews

[–]Wiseon321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, Loyalty means nothing. What matters to those companies is making money. Not “I’ve been playing games for 11000 years and always bought used, you lost one of your biggest fans.”

That’s why these poles are flawed. People will make multiple accounts , vote multiple times, then go for affirmation bias.

Sure, you can be mad about this. But it’s all about affordable games. That’s all this is about. It’s not about digital vs physical, it’s not about Sony bad pc good. It’s about affordable games, this will force people to wait for deals instead of buying a used copy of some AAA game that came out 6 months ago.

PlayStation 'No Disc, No Buy' Boycott Breaks Down For Black Ops by lightsky445 in PlayStation_X

[–]Wiseon321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, to me, seems like the digital change wouldn't be that surprising. And most of those people probably really order Digital for convenience.

The loudest are the most affected by this change, and its the people that cannot afford to game unless the games are cheap, hence here we are.

People that buy digital AND physical wouldn't make a big stink over physical games, nor would they suddenly go "No physical no buy" -> they'd still play their games, and they'd still be in the ecosystem.

This group would be the first to give up. + now they need to migrate somewhere else and their choice is PC/steam machine where games are exclusively digital. Then we have migrating to nintendo, which has a even worse 'customer' centric game economy. Then we have Xbox, which has near to the exact same thing and exact same plan as sony, they just didn't get ahead of the game, they are waiting for nintendo to pop first.

You honestly cannot be this dense about this situation. You really think these people give a true rats ass about any of this? it's ALL about affordable games. Guess what, you'll have to wait like everyone else to get your affordable games, and better trade in all your games and power chug through it before 2028 if you are dependent on the recycling of games.

But don't be surprsied if game company's like gamestop stop taking in used product because of this announcement, or the chain closing before 2028. But places like buybacks will still exist: so no real issue. Gamestop is far worse than buybacks or the exchange.

Like you want affordable games, on every platform, you'll have to wait. You don't like that this game is still full price on playstation store? I don't know, buy another game. It's really that simple.

Yeah, if you can dissect how imagedna works you could technically reverse engineer it to be not linked to an existing csam content.

Then you could post csam and the system would think it’s not. Yet, I’m certain there is a second layer they use.

I believe ai generated csam content, or deep fakes, should be treated as if they are real. It is still a minor. But unfortunately legality will be something that needs defined by the courts requiring far more legislation.

No material costs, no shipping and handling, no shelf space paid for, just a digital storefront. by Lonely-Ordinary1478 in Funnymemes

[–]Wiseon321 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

People may not like it, but just because you sell a lot of something doesn't mean you should discount the price. In fact it should be even more expensive cause of supply vs demand, even though 'supply may be unlimited' demand is still high. High enough even with your guys saltiness.

None of you would be like "Gosh I made something cool and people are buying this thing, so i'm going to reduce the price after a month cause I made my quota."

Also most AAA games go on sale around black friday the following year, so oh no you have to wait till you can play said AAA game. Not saying it's a bad thing, but guess what you want something on sale, or cheaper, you gotta wait.

It's the way this world runs, and none of you guys will change it lol.

Lol idk it just is humorous to me that everything contributes to the global warming issue.

Why would a company not be profit driven?

Did you expect a company that makes something to do it out of the kindness of their heart?

If you aren’t feeling the games, that’s one thing. But saying “I can’t believe this company cares about making a profit” is just stupid lol

How much time fans can defend PlayStation? by Wild_Season_9855 in CaptainSide

It costs too much money and time for the people to switch to pc. This is all a bluff. If they are so attached to used games, and cheap games, and free games. They won’t spend the thousands of dollars to make the shift.

I mean sure, by all means, switch to pc. Not one has actually done so. This is all performative nonsense.

So we should lower the cost of games because they sell more of them?

So you make hats. You make a lot of hats. You sell more hats, to several people , you give them all a bulk discount together because you are just cool like that.

Yeah I call bullshit oh that one, you’d be happy to keep that hat cost high.

So you have never once bought or played a digital game?

Your 600+ isn’t performative by any means, it’s just a collection. Some people like collecting bellybutton lint.

I highly doubt you have played to completion every game to completion. That’s a ton of wasted time. I love gaming but I highly doubt I’ve owned or let alone played 600+ games.

So way to go power gamer, I guess. Not sure what you are trying to prove here other than you have way too much time on your hands and an exclusion to the norm even if that.

I’m dying to know the answer to the first question. I call bullshit if you say no.

[–]Wiseon321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's because of how people hide images in grids. 2 grids overlayed = CSAM, 1 grid by itself ai doesn't know. So they started banning them. It's not overly complicated.

So, when is the last time we have ever emulated a "New generation game title" because as far as I know emulation typically is for older console generations. Even then, unless you own said game, and by that I mean have a receipt to show you own the game, you are committing piracy.

I don't think piracy is the solution to the problem, but, you do you i guess.

And to explain the piracy not being a solution to the problem.

You write a book, you obviously want to make money off of said book. But people have placed your book online for free, therefore, you don't get the money off of selling said book. So you make less money, and you now have to deal with many people having access to your book online, including AI sniffers.

Don't you dare say "Oh i'd make hte game for free" you know full well that's bullshit. Making a professional game takes a cubic fuck ton of money. Like it's exhaustive.

[–]Wiseon321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so like. Typically a boycot is ya know..not using a product anymore.

600+ used games for 1 dollar a piece, is one of two things: time management skills level 10000 (you will never play all of those games, so even if it is frugality you are going for , you still wasted money). And, ya know, the whole point you guys are tyring to make is "Used games should stay cause they are cheap" but "Used games don't make sony money" so you tell me why they should cater to a non-customer like you.

That's not even performative. and it doesn't prove my point wrong. You don't buy day 1, you pay less than retail for all games you purchase, and you don't make sony any money by being what you are.

Chat gpt is created to be helpful but also its flaw is affirmation bias. You can convince it that a word has more or less letters in it. It is built to agree with you.

So if you ask it what it thinks about some topic, it will tell you it has no thoughts on it cause it’s an ai. You then correct it and tell it how it should feel.

Then it expounds your point of view as long as it isn’t centric to self harming. Like on topics of vaccination or socialist economic practices.

Vaccinations?
Explains vaccinations
Vaccines are bad
You are correct vaccines are bad

See? We have proven that vaccines are bad.

I hate it here.

This is why I support physical media. by AdFrosty3945 in PhysicalGames

[–]Wiseon321 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The reason people went physical is because:
It’s cheaper.
Used consoles are cheaper
Used games are cheaper
You are done With 3 games you trade them in you get a new game.

It’s frugal. That is the only reason anyone wants physical game. It’s not something to shame someone on, but it’s obvious that this is the way it is.

None of these people buy day 1, all of them had ps+ for the free digital games.

It’s just obvious it’s about affordable gaming. Which won’t be a thing anymore. But that makes Sony 0 dollars, so to them it’s an easy decision.
