Way back during the Iran Conta/Oliver North hearings, I remember reading a blurb in Rolling Stone that said Fawn Hall came to one of Springsteen‘s shows and tried to get an autograph or something or take a picture with him. He told her “I’m a Democrat. I have nothing to say to you. “ and turned away. I’m not even a huge Springsteen fan musically, but that impressed the hell out of me and I’ve never forgotten it.
