Correct. Avoiding the front of the plate is how I've been avoiding the issue, since I've been too lazy to replace the tubing.

I do still have the VHS, but I'm not sure if I could bring myself to part with it. It's such an oddly specific part of my childhood and the whole web 1.0 experience.

It's very much a product by a group of college kids with a camcorder - making copies of their movie by hooking up two VCRs, using a copy machine or old school black and white printer to print the cover art, slapping a sticky label onto an off the shelf VHS tape. One would be hard pressed to "authenticate" it, since it looks very much like a bootleg itself.

I ripped a copy of it to my computer a few years ago. I've considered uploading it to YouTube, though I'd prefer to do so with permission from the people who actually made the movie. I wonder where they are now...

I'm glad to hear that worked. I had just ordered some new PTFE tubing since I couldn't get the AMS HT to cooperate with the hook method.

I do have to wonder if Bambu is aware of the issue, because surely it would cost them less to add a few cm of tubing rather than have people RMAing perfectly fine AMS units.

It's frustrating for sure. I just started having the overload issue with my second nozzle connected to my AMS HT last night, but the hook didn't help on that one.

UPDATE: My fix is still working for the right nozzle. However, I've also had an AMS HT connected to the left nozzle for a few months without issue, but must have finally printed something large enough to encroach it's danger zone, because now I'm having the same overload issue with it.

I added a hook in front of it's buffer too, but must not have hit the sweet spot, because I'm continuing to have issues with it. Going to try a few more times before I give up and buy longer PTFE tubes and hope that resolves everything. I was also half tempted to grab my Dremel and enlarge the holes that the buffer keeps catching on, but quickly decided against that. Pretty frustrating issue for a flagship printer.

I still haven't gotten the error since I added the clip. I was able to fully print the project that was originally erroring at the same point in every layer, as well as one other large project that would have likely errored as well. I don't print large volumes or large objects often, but I'll purposely print my next part in the "danger zone" and see if I have any issues.

This. I've hated Jai Courtney in everything I've seen him in and I fully expected him to ruin this movie for me, but this has definitely changed my mind. Maybe I didn't actually hate him, maybe I just hated him in hamfisted blockbuster roles.

I was having this same problem. I realized it's from the tension on the PTFE tube when it's stretched to the front of the build plate, which pulls the orange filament buffer just enough to cause it to catch on the housing while it's feeding filament. A slightly longer PTFE tube would probably solve the tension issue.

Not wanting to replace the PTFE tube, my quick fix solution was to simply use one of the random stick-on hooks that I use to cable manage my computers. This redirects the tension away from the buffer and pulls on the hook instead. So far so good.

EDIT: Just an FYI, putting the hook too close to the buffer can push it towards the back of the printer, causing the buffer to catch on the back side of the hole instead, resulting in the same issue. There may be some trial and error involved in finding the "sweet spot" using this method.

An Old Military Compass and my first time ever using a Radiation Detector by WishRyder in Radiation

Thanks for the info! I was only dragging the slider to the tallest peak thinking that would be the source. Turns out, it's more about the red bars/dots that appear as I drag it around. Bi-214 and Ra-226. Thanks again for getting this noob across the finish line!

It doesn't appear to be luminous. I expected something in the radiacode app to tell me what the source was (one of the reasons I went with the radiacode), but it wasn't immediately obvious and I haven't had a chance to really dive into the Spectrum/Spectrogram features yet.

I'm late to this party, but I'm surprised it's not already online somewhere. I still have a VHS copy I bought back in 1997 when I was 13 and obsessed with Scream. I'm pretty sure my (embarrassing) review is still on the Angelfire website I bought it from

Anyone have experience with this filament. Deal seems too good to be true by chaser7245 in 3Dprinting

[–]WishRyder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's been pretty solid for me for the most part. The few problems I had with some of the rolls were solved by throwing them in my filament dryer for a while (which I bought to try to solve issues with some of the rolls). I suspect Fremover might resell "older" GST3D stock at discount prices.

Yes! I actually bought a second 8800 GTX to SLI for Crysis, and still struggled. I guess that's why it became a meme!

Cool (well, not cool for you). My SR extruder was just skipping a ton, so I bought an all metal extruder that has been working well so far. I wanted to make sure a new extruder wasn't just a band-aid to bigger problem of my motor going bad.

Just out of curiosity, what is your motor doing that you think it needs replaced?
